Phil, You read me wrong. I don't believe that MJ consortium has ability to convince Begbies Traynor. Nor the diligence. All I am saying is that I think that Begbies are chucking this into the air to see what else might be there for the creditors. Failing that, given the price and debt is measly in the greater schemes, I am saying that I don't believe SCC will let control of an asset like SMS pass to fools like MJ and co. From that point, other issues can be discussed. Hope that satisfies all questions :-)

Push comes to shove, I don't believe the Council will let control of SMS go to a muppet like Jackson. SCC will intervene at last resort, buy/lease the ground from creditors and help Saints stay alive as a football club (though without injecting funds). Then a buyer deals with the council. Man City did the same though not under extreme circumstances. The new ground was owned by the Council cos of M2002 Comm Games and was gradually assigned to the club as it was able to pay.

I rather suspect that MJ is in the equation as last resort. There is no ****ing way he and his cronies would pass diligence and neither would Southampton City Council entertain it (meaning as last resort they would buy/lease the stadium). It would be a disaster about to occur if they let that go through. They can't afford that.
