Good managers find good goalscorers (even with a budget) and good managers also find systems and players to assist them score goals, eg Pelle, Lambert and Tadic, Mane etc. We all know that if we find a 15 /20 goal a season striker we only get there services for a couple of seasons before they move on but that's what keeps us in the league and then we reset. The issue is I have zero faith Ralph and Co can find that player... And before anybody says what about Ings, he was always a good striker at a top club, just a gamble that paid off given his injury record and moved on as soon as he could to a another bang average side, says alot.

If we can put 90 mins together then we are capable of giving most including Arsenal a game, the issue we haven't done that for what seems like ages . Hopefully off the back of a win, the players will gain in confidence and this will counter act the coaches wisdom. If we don't concede early, iam optimistic for a draw.. It's not the losing games that pisses me off, it's the way we lose games with zero plan b, other than to swap the Armstrongs and bring on djenepo and alike. If we actually win a league game it's almost by fluke. The last time I remember us winning any games comprehensively was Brentford and Norwich last season but the tactics seemed to be different, and we had quality up top with Broja and a decent partnership in the middle of the park. Things will never get better with Ralph because even if we go on a unbeaten run of say 4 or 5 games, we all know its just a matter of time until the dross returns and so do the clueless defeats and that says everything about a manager, he can't push us onto the next level and eventually his luck will run out and the club will pay the price. We are not sleepwalking into relegation, I think we are all wide awake and can see it coming.

If your going to sign young players with potential, you atleast need a manager who can help most of them unlock that potential, Ralph never has and never will be a manger that improves players, makes you wonder what the point of signing them was in the first place was. The Premier league isn't as forgiving as the bundesliga if this policy fails, and with Ralph in charge.. No chance
