The above podcast still is the only time I have ever seen Stephens with an eye on a player,it is normally watching empty space.

Tony Bellew said how great Usyk would become,when AU dismantled him a few years back at cruiserweight,not a bad judge Mr Bellew.

Some innings by Cox after a very decent Hampshire total,however Dawson has been let down again by the pie throwers brigade of Howell and Fuller,after he bowled his heart out yet again.

I have followed the game for 62 years,so no need for sarcastic comment John B,you have your opinions and I have mine. I played for 33 years, not that proves anything. If Baker turns out to be a good signing I will be delighted,but time will tell, Why did Somerset let him go,if he is that good ? I agree with you on two points, the first about James Vince and the second being that Barry Richards is the best batsmen I have ever seen,by a country mile and for the record I told him that at the bowl about 15 years ago,when he was in the concourse.

I agree with the - if he is not playing bit,in the above post and the fact that he cares about the club,however he is not good enough to be on the pitch.

I really cannot believe he has been give a two year extension on top of this season. Stephens is at best a mediocre championship player, do the club really think he is good enough to play in the premier league if we go up in the next two seasons. I would have no issue if he was to have a Kelvin Davis like role within the club in a non playing capacity,however for him to be any way near the pitch and captain to boot is utter lunacy and smacks of no ambition at all. Perhaps Mr Still can try to get him to mark a player instead of space and stop trying to play out from the back like a Beckenbaur or Moore. Just another awful decision by the club.

Why the hell did we sign Baker ? Threw game away in the end. Feel sorry for Vince and Dawson.

Dawson apart the bowling has been pretty awful again, too many pie throwers,especially Howell,Baker and Fuller. Another waste of a season on the cards.

Good all reound perfomance tonight,we need to keep winning and see where that takes us,no wins in previous 5 T20 games leave us with no wiggle room at all.

Lets make no mistake if we do not get our batting together there is every chance we will go down,with Yorkshire winning it is very tight for 9th place. Since Mcgrath the Yorkshire coach publically called out his players for being mentally weak,they have improved dtramatically,cannot see that happening at Hants unfortunately,it is the least most of the players deserve.

Orr unlucky,but both openers go within a few minutes of each other,totally spineless yet again. It used to be a joy supporting Hants and Saints,very,very tough at the moment.

The whole team scored less than two of their players individual scores, what a totally shambolic performance,relegation is a distinct possibility [ Only 15 points clear of Worcester,if and when we lose this game ]. How has it come to this ? The batting has been a total disgrace, a few individual performances apart,the bowling okay up to this game.
