Lighthouse all my opinions are my own. As for not seeing any statements from the club about not being too good to go down, have the club released one statement about any thing ? [ No doubt you think they should not have to] You have your opinions and I have mine, for the record I think this squad should be in the top six,but the losing mentality and the lack of fight and piss poor leadership from top down to manager, leaves me to think a relegation battle is more likely to be on the cards. 4 league wins in 50 games [ I know 38 were in PL ] surely tells you that. Bar 2008/09 pre ML, this is the very worst position the club has been in since my first game watching them in 1963.

Does this club deserve your support and money?
Andrew Watson replied to Saint Billy's topic in The Saints
Do not have to make the choice because I live in Cornwall, however I would almost certainly not bother to go and watch this spineless bunch of losers. I had a seaon ticket from 2009/10 to 2020/21 when we moved down. It is unfathomable how badly the club has been run since these chancers took over. -
You have been taken for a complete ride by the charlatons running the club Mr Solak, but surely it is time for you to sell up now.

Todays result is totally expected as far as I am concerned,we really are sleep walking to relegation. Like others on here, I some how believe with this squad should be in the top 6,but the players and clowns in charge are writing a totally different script. Totally livid with yet another expected capitulation.

A get out of jail card for Spors,I doubt the lot in charge will ever sack him. What a total laughing stock the club has become.

Blackburn 2-1 Saints - Match Threads
Andrew Watson replied to Willo of Whiteley's topic in The Saints
If we lose this we will deserve to go down. Years of Venkys has screwed Blackburn, much longer with SR and we will go the same way, sooner rather than later. -
I think Still is out of his depth, but how many on here think Spors is capable of making the right call ? I certainly do not, surely an English manager who knows the championship, can motivate players and can be a hands on coach [ as opposed to a computer manager ] is the way to go.

Told by my Plymouth supporting neighbour [ I live in Launceston ] that Tolaj cannot sign for another English club in january, because he has already played for Plymouth and Port Vale this season. He could go abroad though, for the record the Plymouth fans love him as a player. To be honest saintant I do not agree with alot you say,but Tolaj certainly cannot be any worse than the dross we have up front, at this moment in time.

A goal scoring forward was a must in the summer, but Spors tried to be clever and go for an untried Bundesliga 2 player and equally as bad to rely on Ross Stewart, who is never going to be fit enough to play enough games. The club is being run by total idiots,we have dropped and will continue to drop points without a 20 goal a season striker and will be wallowing around mid table come the end of the season. Still does not know his best side and is out of his depth.

Very, very sad and heart breaking to lose both Ricky Hatton and Graeme Thorpe to suicide, may they both rest in peace.

22 months ago we hammered them 5 - 0,unfortunately cannot see beyond a 1 - 1 draw this weekend. We cannot score more than one goal per game [ on average ] and cannot keep a clean sheet.

Poor coaching or players not up to scratch ?
Andrew Watson replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
The bottom line is the football by and large is turgid and uninspiring. We do not have a twenty goal a season striker on the books [ Armstrong?, I am sure some will say ] or a decent centre half who can defend the box, like his life depends on it. [ Oh for a Svensson / fonte type ]. and we do not have a keeper who can command his penalty box. Not helped by the fact that the manager has no idea what his best eleven is. Whilst accepting that the club cannot keep changing managers with such regularity, I think the job is too big for Will Still. -

That is where I am leaning towards as well Dman. -
I was talking to a close friend back in Southampton recently and he described Still as a computer manager [ has been alluded to by others on here ] , because the players we signed in the transfer window [ Fellows, Scienza,Azaz and Jander ] all came with very good reputations, however they have produced very little on the pitch so far. So how can our beloved club have turned these players into very ordinary players so quickly ? Poor manager and coaches is the obvious answer, what do other fans think ? Or is the shirt to big a burden for some to wear ? We have a much better squad on paper than Coventry, but we are dropping so far behind them after so few games and it is very difficult to see where the wins in this very mediocre division are going to come from.

Utter rubbish, another 2 points dropped to another bloody awful team. SIMPLY NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
-
Should be a definite 3 points, but who knows with Saints.

Scored a cracker tonight,we played him at full back,he was a midfielder at Luton.

Sheff Utd 1-2 Saints - Match Thread
Andrew Watson replied to TheAlehouseBrawlers's topic in The Saints
All our centre backs [ all our defenders actually ] have a mistake in them every game, the one thing Quarshie has in his favour is his pace, something the other 3 lack and I like the fact he looks totally pissed off every time we concede a goal, I do not see that trait in Stephens or Harewood Bellis. At least show you care when we concede a goal for gods sake. -
Bree scored a stunner tonight, Jones playing him in midfield has been a good move, mind you that is where he played for Luton as well. [ I know Jones was at Luton ].

That was a tough watch for the last 20 minutes, however a win is all that matters in the end. I think we were a bit lucky with the disallowed goal, there was contact on Macarthy but it was very minimal. Pleased for Stewart [ hopefully he can start to score on a regular basis now ] and really like Jander and for all his messing around Macarthy made a brilliant save from O Hare at 0 - 1, a save Bazunu would have very unlikely made. Need to win at Derby and kick on,we went 25 games unbeaten 2 years ago from this point. -
Thanks for the things you can report on over the seson, Ron.

Pleased with the changes, but why cannot we keep a clean sheet ? very pissed off with result.
