Still no striker in, we have a bunch of total amateurs running this club. A panic buy will probably ensue. Down with a whimper.
-
We are not fickle Duncan, we are older and more realistic than most fans.
-
Emery has an ordinary Villa side winning league games, Jones has a poor side losing most league games, know which one would have kept us up.
-
No need for your sarcastic comment LD, this is a forum for Saints fans with different opinions. Yours is obviously the only one that counts. I will leave it at that, I have no wish to trade insults with you and stoop to your level.
-
I really hope Jones knows what he's doing. How the hell do Adams and Elynoussi come back in. Cannot see anything but a tepid performance and defeat. Obviously Jones has never heard the maxim, Never change a winning team.
-
If NJ manages to keep us up, against all odds I will eat all the humble pie going. For that to happen the players need to start showing the same fight and mental fortitude they have shown in the last game and a half [ Palace should have been out of sight before we equalized ] . The acid tests will start if we go behind against Everton, lets wait and see and hope in equal measure.

Good thanks Dave. My e-mail is andrewsimonwatson@yahoo.co.uk, if you want to leave me your number, I will call you for catch up, at your convenience. Take care.

Excellent and very thought provoking article. A great pity that those in charge are unlikely to see or bother to read it. The smug arrogance of the board and owners alike is totally soul destroying for us Saints fans.

Launceston in Cornwall, Dave. Hope all is good with you and your family.

Going down without a fight and there is still over half the season left. The players, owners and management have totally let down the most important people,us the fans. Aside from Ward Prowse, Walker - Peters and maybe a couple more, how many actual players give a damn about our predicament. In the nineties in particular we had players who actually played for the shirt and team, now they line their pockets and wait for their next move. What a pathetic indictment on the state of the game now. Never thought I would be happy to be 150 miles away and have an excuse not to go to games. Saints will always be my team, but the life long passion has certainly been on the wane for a couple of years now. Very, very sad and desperate times to be a Saints fan.

1 -2, Lingard and Johnson to score and run us ragged. 20 th is where we belong. I felt in previous seasons we just about had enough to stay up, not any more I am afraid.
-
You make your own luck. We are where we deserve to be. We miss one on ones every game and concede bad goals every game. This seaon is turning out to be a replica of 2004/05 when we were relegated. We had Lowe in charge then, I am beginning to think that Ankergen and Semmens have similar egos to Lowe and there lies alot of the problem. The club is a total mess from top to bottom.
-
The saddest thing is Duncan that Ankersen and Semmens are culpable for his appointment and almost certainly will bury their big heads in the sand. What was wrong with Dyche or some one similar as a trouble shooter, god only knows.
-
Going down without a fight. Sickening and demoralising . I blame the owners and board for their total arrogance and lack of football nous. Oh and also the players for being physically and more important mentally weak. Really not impressed by the whole club at present.
-
You have hit the nail on the head SS. Reading between the lines Ankergren and Semmens are both out of their depth and are running this club into oblivion.
-
Watched the first half live on Amazon. Brighton looked decent [ Partly because they have premier league standard players and partly because we did not compete on any level ]. They move the ball at pace, we do not, they make space for each other, we do not, they expected to win, we did not. I could go on, no real point as things stand we are going down with a whimper. The above Semmens comment about having the easiest next 10 games on paper, sums up everything that is wrong with the club. God help us fans, the ones who really care and really suffer in equal measure. We are being sold down the river at at breakneck speed and no one at the club has the slightest idea how to halt the slide. Beyond worrying.
-
Unfortunately Dave D you talk far too much sense for many on here. As for the clowns running the club. Saddens me greatly to see that we are heading for total disaster under this clueless regime and untried top flight management.
-
Try telling the hierachy spreadsheets are nonsense as alot of fans realize. We are sleep walking to relegation, with the club being run to fail by non football people at the helm.
-
Having read through the bbc thread and on here, seems like a very worrying performance. Concede to Brighton early and the game will be over by half time. Do not see us staying up unless a miracle happens. Difficult to see where the next league win will come from. I said 2 - 1 to a mate, but was really hoping for a lot better against a league 1 side.
-
Chewy and CB Fry as I said in my post it is all about opinions. Ours differ greatly, which is absolutely fine in debate. However yours and others vitriol is the reason I came off this site for years, it is totally and completely unnecessary. I hope your mum has your bags ready for school in the morning by the way,

Just to think Southgate alegedly declined to speak or let the players speaK to MLT about the psycology of penalty taking. In the last 3 tournaments we have lost to the first decent side we played in all 3. Croatia in 2018, Italy in 2021 and today. Southgate has wasted the best squads we have had for years. Never mind, its all about opinions.
-
I know we are not very good, but then nor are some other sides who are on the above channels.
-
Unless we some how manage to stay up, total and utter rubbish.
