  1. Do you still have the ticket?
  2. I totally, 100% agree with you mate. I'm a season ticket holder near the back of Block 42 and I constantly argue with these so called uber-fans being they're ignorant idiots. They do start a lot of songs in fairness, however every other song is a reference to Pompey, which does get a little tedious. Please accept my apologies on behalf of Block 42.......we welcome you and your family back with open arms. One song you could start, while waving your match ticket in the air is "I paid more money than you, I paid more money than you".....you get the gist!
  3. It's a she. I'm obviously having a thick moment and don't see the irony in your post.........Although I do love the obsession the moment someone passes on the slightest bit of info from within the stadium walls (gossip or fact) they get shot down with requests for a source. I'm not saying that you're alluding to that mind you.
  4. I've just been told by my friend who works at the club, that they expect 29k
  5. Is this another attempt at trolling Dune? In reply to your question, sure I sing it. It's another song that breaks up the monotony of OWTSGMI and with a bit of 'thumping/clapping' it's actually quite a good song. I'm neither an idiot or a spotty teenager for the record. Having to sit in the executive boxes meant I got a full on experience of our away support for the first time (without being involved of course) and it was awesome.
  6. Also forgot to mention that Jan Poortaloo was in the corporate suites too yesterday, don't know why, kinda both said hello to each other as we crossed paths. Didn't click until it was too late to ask any questions. God knows why he was there though.
  7. Having to sit in on of the corporate boxes for yesterdays game, all the way in the opposite corner to where my fellow chums were situated, I can honestly say that after your performance yesterday, I am so proud to be a Saints fan. I've commented that the away games that I've been to this season have been so quiet and boring in the away end, most notably against Derby, when we had the entire game to sing by ourselves as they put up no singing contest in the slightest and at times at Swindon when it just seemed like the kids were trying to take over the asylum and wind up the numpties sat in the home end......but I stand corrected. Inside the box with the door closed and about 15 minutes to kick off, at the other end of the ground too, my customer commented on how many fans we'd brought up and how loud we were. At one point during the game we sang OWTSGMI slowly and it was like a pin could be dropped in the Reading sections, they were silent and it sounded awesome. Throughout the whole game you were absolutely fantastic and stuck with the team right until the end, even enjoying the banter regarding going up and the home fans replying about having their record.....great to hear. Looking at the team sheets that were delivered before the game, I noticed that they had a 'Number 13' on the subs bench called 'Reading Fans'.......Nice touch, however I think the boys and girls that went did us proud (Especially when the left and right side were singing two different songs at the same time!). On this note, having to endure the WHU game from the corporate side too, I thought we out sung them as well......giving over to a boring and over repetitive 'Bubbles' chorus. It was interesting to note that while sat in the Northam, we think that barring the Kingsland North and Blocks 3/4, the rest of the crowd don't make a lot of noise, but during this game (with it being at night I guess) the whole ground was singing at one point, even sweeping over to the prawn sandwich brigade. Back in Block 42 for Saturday and can't wait to stretch the vocal chords again. Great work.
  8. Going to Hamburg to watch Fulham (and all of their home games along the way - including a stunning night at Craven Cottage under floodlight) was an amazing experience and possibly even more enjoyable than Cardiff in 2003. The way both sets of supporters mixed in peace with songs and smiles really made the experience. Would I want Saints to get there too? Erm.....hell yeah!

  10. Unfortunately Derby sing nearly all of our songs as they're quite generic these days. Trust me, we hardly sang and it was embarrassing. Before I get slated, I'm a pessimistic saints fan but this game summed up my thoughts on st Mary's too...little pockets of fans singing, the majority (itchen, chapel and most of kingsland) quiet for the entire game. I'm not a yobbo but NOTHING beats standing in the Northam when we score, electric. When we go to most games away, the atmosphere is awesome when the whole ground sing or chant, how good it would be if for ONCE, it happened at st Mary's like it did at the dell .
  11. Racism just ain't saintly. Remember that and keep your racist comments, no matter how sly, to yourself.
  12. Away from home we were pressed and harried by derby throughout the game and I thought we had a lack of movement at times, guly trying to be far to elaborate and holding the ball up for far too long at times. I also thought our fans were awful today. We had plenty of opportunity to share banter and sing songs but it seemed like only a handful could be bothered. And for the people that want to sit down, while I appreciate your opinion, I want to stand up, so please respect mine. I also thought the stewards were fantastic today, I'm a derby hater after the play off debacle and the taunting that ensued after, but the stewards were a friendly bunch who allowed us to enjoy the game and provided some good banter. Listening to cough on the radio after, he was in awe of saints and really impressed me with his positive attitude especially towards us. In summary, I thought a draw was fair after witnessing an open and entertaining game. My only real negative was the referee who seemed intent on giving us nothing, them everything and doubling our yellow card count for the season in one game!
  13. Agreed about the lack of singing at away games compared to previous years but totally disagree about needing to drink to have a good time. Swindon away at one stage was deafeningly quiet, so too Leicester at times. Let's hope for a vocal performance against the rams.
  14. Looking at the timing of the post I'd say that one too many jars had been drunk by the OP and sarcasm was high on the agenda considering NA's comments about unity!

  16. It's because you're a pikey.
  17. Didn't see Shilton play so can't comment on him but I'd have taken Niemi over Flowers. I don't know how Super Kelv can even be mentioned in the same list to be honest!
  18. Thanks VFTT, I'll take a march down the ticket office tomorrow.
  19. Has anyone actually received their tickets after booking online yet?
  20. I hope so, but being a Plastic Cottager, I hope we're both up there together!

    Pompey

It's hilarious listening to them, get a life!
  22. I wonder if we'll all love Nicola so much when he reveals the new season ticket prices?
  23. Just to let any other kind hearted soul know, I've now arranged with action man to team up. Many thanks
  24. Thanks ladysaint but there's no point in doing that if there's only two of us!
