  1. I actually have a sound and valid point, shared by many. I agree that adding 'Hampshire' into the song instead 'League One' is a much better idea also. I don't understand the vilification my ideas have received, but this is a forum and everone is entitled to their own opinion.......or so I thought. Anyway, I'm off to work, you lot enjoy half-term.
  2. What a well thought out, reasoned reply. Conversations with you must be enthralling!
  3. I'm fed up of you lot singing " you fat b@stard!". Clearly, when the majority of goalies are no longer pie eaters, surely it's better to sing; "ohhhhh....you're sh!t ahhhhhhhh......ohhhh ahhhh" Much better in opinion. And while I'm at it, STOP singing "we're by far the greatest team the WORLD has ever seen". It's clearly b0110cks. How about being original and sing; "We're by far the greatest team LEAGUE ONE has ever seen". Not difficult now is it? Rant over.
  4. Simon, it's a Friday night and it's late - GO TO BED
  5. Spot the goon. Al Fayed was hardly high profile until the Diana saga and yes, Fulham were very much 'snatched from oblivion'. So much so that the groundsmen and security guards would actually let you in the old ground to say goodbye to it.....often sharing your moment with the weeds. Saints where nowhere near this stage, no matter some people might think. We always had the asset of the stadium and a large fanbase within a large city. Fulham at the time had absolutely none of that. Do some research next time.
  6. Nope. I went with my two Fulham supporting mates Vs Pompey last season and loved every minute of it. I got the Putney end (70% pompey/30% Fulham) singing anti-pompey songs! We were surrounded by them but I didn't care. I didn't fancy a kicking so I left my Saints shirt at home but believe you me, no-one cheered louder in that stand when Fulham scored and eventually won the game. Fulham away to Newcastle last season was good too! I became a 'closet cottager' by their fans after acting like a nutter in the stands, joining in ever song, starting songs and even throwing in a few saints ones too! We even sang loud enough to get Johnny Paintsil to wave at us.....not bad considering you're a million miles away from the pitch!! Fulham fans aren't that bad in the Hammersmith end but yeah, in general they are pretty lame when it comes to banter but that's why they have no enemies. They're a 'nice family club'.......... Now before I sound like a Fulham fan too much.....I know it goes against my logic but the two best games for atmosphere in my RECENT memory were Derby in the play-offs (I fookin 'ate derby) and a special mention to Nottm Forest for last season. Yes we were relegated but what a great day out and their fans are smashing.
  7. I actually missed the lack of banging at times yesterday and once it started, people started singing and clapping too. Provided it's done correctly I think it's a bonus. Just NO drums. God Blackpool were annoying!
  8. I'm not slating him but two negative points today; 1: His touch is AWFUL at the moment and really needs to adjust to the game at this level. 2: Pace? Really? Gillingham defenders murdered him for pace on more than one opportunity. About six of us in the Northam laughed at his apparent 'pace' (or lack of!) However, there were some bright points to his play, very similar to a yound Nathan Dyer at times once he had the ball at his feet. One moment in the second half in the Kingsland/Chapel corner in particular when he lifted the ball inbetween two defenders and then produced awful final ball after awful final ball!
  9. Why do you sign your name? We know who you are. A fraud. How anyone believed you is beyond me. Quite why you had your website on display with your mobile phone number on is quite funny in itself. Time for you to jog on.. Chris.
  10. Really? Not even in injury time? Or did you leave early to avoid the London yoof?
  11. Scarlet Johanson Marissa Tomei and the fit bird from Transformers. And no room for condoms

    Violence

Yawn. Once again another Soul Cellar thread revisited. Grow up.
  13. Is he into his drugs??
  14. Ahhh, yes. Sorry, I don't bother to spell check on here and my laptop frequently puts the same letter in twwice ;o). I also must not have pressed the key hard enough to miss the 'L' out. However the irony is classic and is one I would have wet myself about had it been someone else! Maybe I should proof-read my posts?! Nonetheless, Wotton is still pony and Gillett offers us so much more. My point was that J Bizzle is a c|_|nt for his poor argument and his 'look at me, I could have been a pro' cry.
  15. I'm just about to sell my 03 plate Mercedes C220 Coupe for £6k if you're still interested? Averages 45mpg on my 12 mile run to work and gets 53mpg on regular trips to Nottingham. Let me know
  16. J Bizzle, you will have no doubt read that my posts are reasoned, accurate and articuate. I too played at a higher level than I do now, playing in Holland for a Dutch team for two years and now enjoy getting battered by players much better than me in the Hampshire Premier. I too look at the play and not the ball in most circumstances and I too have done my first two coaching badges along with my referees course. For these reasons and these reasons alone, I am right in calling you a sour little c|_|nt. We've all had off days on a football pitch and indeed at work (you'll find out about the latter once you finish your degree in David Beckham). Probably upto one hundred coaches, managers and scouts have looked at Simon in his time with a ball at his feet and rated him better than the next man, so who are you, as a casual observer, to slate not only his performance but also his football qualities? Answer? You're nobody, pretty much like the rest of us, so shut your trap and concentrate on being positive. At 24 (or even 23), Simon may actually read this forum, stranger things have happened, and how do you think he'll respond to being vilified for doing his best? You say you'll make a good manager? Well I am a manager of people and although on many occasions I wish I could say it how I see it, I have to provide encouragement and guidance to 'nuture' and mould the employee/colleague into getting me the result I/the company desires. Think about it.
  17. Get real people. He's been frozen out of the side so far this season after being one of the first names on the team sheet for so long last season. He's going to take time to adjust to the pace of the game, certainly against Premiership opposition. His distribution was probably about 80% spot on last night, he won a header and in no way was he at fault for their second goal. My man of the match Dan Harding got caught on his heals and they exploited that. In fact no-one seems to have hurled this level of insult at Wayne Thomas who was entirely at fault for their first goal by being a little too self-assured in an area of the pitch that we're more commonly used to him hoofing it (maybe he reads too many posters views on here and thought he was Rio Ferdinand?). J. Bizzle, lets try and post in perspective in future with a reasoned argument and a decent understanding of the English language.
  18. I miss The Dell
  19. Couldn't agree more. In fact it was actually fantastic to have some decent away support and banter. Well done to the Brentford massive. We did give it a good go back though and sang more than two songs for a while too!
  20. Agreed, ****y little **** made a ****y joke though. Any news on new signings tooday Si?
  21. Came across as a complete twitchy tool. I can't wait for him to start slagging us off later. I love the way he acts like the big man yet when I bumped into him outside his flat in OV he shat himself. Gutted to hear he's injured tho......NOT.
  22. Jamie White is friends with some of my Sunday league team and was at our game in Hamble on Sunday. He looked like a normal lad, a little bit heavy around the middle and I asked him to run the line. The looks of horror from everybody that obviously knew who he was - I didn't have a clue! So I'd say that he's a little while off being fit yet. He did suffer some shocking injuries season don't forget!
  23. What people don't seem to realise is that there would have been a spin off concerning other sponsors of EFC and that every penny that Fullers Group 'donate', they will receive far more in return through business dealings. I've had many a dealing with Leon and enjoyed many a golf day with him and can honestly say he's a top bloke, however, don't for a second think it was a donation and he expects nothing back! A few years ago, Appleton Signs in Hedge End, sponsored EFC to a hefty tune with the promise that they would make the money back within the year. Sure enough, enough orders came in from other sponsors that they made a return on their investment within months. So in other words, business is business and everyone wins.
  24. I can see why you lot are being so thick as we didn't see much of him while he was here. Augustine Delgado!!!!
  25. Indeed it does......thank you. However, if something doesn't interest you then why not click on another thread like I do? Hey ho, we (sorry ML, there is no we anymore is there?) won 3-0 yesterday, onwards and upwards!
