  1. Thanks Sebastian, but there's only two of us as it stands so we still need another couple!
  2. Do you still need another two people? My friend and I are also looking for an extra couple of people....
  3. Mango in Portswood or Suan Thai in Romsey - amazing.
  4. NorthamSteve: I wonder if it's an age related problem for you. When you were younger it was good fun to sing songs that maybe now make you cringe? Maybe you once enjoyed the atmosphere and the adrenaline rush of a football game? Maybe you once bemoaned a players poor pass without even thinking (because of your age) that it would affect the players morale? If so, you're just like me. I can honestly agree with the majority of the posters when they say that the Northam was fantastic for two or three seasons, followed by the Itchen North for a season or two. The Itchen North in my opinion will always be better than the Northam because you're almost facing the away fans and therefore the banter is more fun, whereas the only way you can face the away fans in the Northam is to either crane your neck or to turn away from the game completely. I also agree that we need to get off the players backs. Sure we pay good money to be entertained, but then I've never heard anyone booing at a poor show at a theater or at a cinema. The majority of home games, Swindon away (apart from the sunbathing aspect) and MK Dons away, I feel ashamed to be a Saints fan and can feel myself 'turning off' during the game, either because the game is rubbish or mainly because I find myself getting more and more wound up with fellow supporters who CONSTANTLY moan. More and more I find myself trying to reason with people that are in a close proximity, sometimes rather heated, which can't be good. I wish the club would open block two again and let me transfer my season ticket.
  5. Dan Harding also drives a Merc E Class in silver. He was behind me (excuse the expression!) at the lights in St Marys one Saturday, quite happily picking his nose!
  6. Actually Scott people only get THEMSELVES into trouble with a credit card because they have no SELF-control. I've just applied for a Sainsbury' credit card at 12 months interest FREE credit, to which, I'll set a standing order from my current account. Hmmmm....not wishing to sound like a c*ck but where's the issue here? Just because people want the club to hold their hands and effectively pay for them to to attend games? I'm happy that a certain group of supporters may not be able to go this year - we might get singing back in the Northam again. It's also true that some people can't get a credit card because of their credit history and can't afford to buy their ST in one go. Well I can't afford a holiday villa, so I rent one which is no different to not owning a ST and paying at the gate every month. It's not discrimination, it's logic. If you can afford to fund a ST then great, if not, pay on the gate. The club have been treating us like kids for years by giving interest free loans. I'm just surprised that Cortese hasn't thought about this a little bit more and launched a Saints credit card with interest free on ST's. Or even offered a deal from Saints Financial Services offering a 7% deal.
  7. No installment plan? - Get a 0% credit card! It's not rocket science and the term is between 12-18 months, happy days! I'm off on holiday for two weeks on Sunday, which will no doubt cost me an arm and a leg, so the timing is poor, but if I work out I can't afford it in one go, I'll just get myself one of those shiny plastic cards for a couple of months.
  8. I played on it yesterday and it's harder than ever. The pitch is still beautiful tho. My uncle is playing today and it's a good cause so well done for advertising it.
  9. Where's Stu-Romsey-Saint when you need him!!!
  10. I lied. It's actually 14-1 which is even more of a bargain if we pull it off! Also got £50 at 7-1 (not so great!) from a few weeks ago in a works syndicate so hopefully will go towards the season ticket next year!
  11. My £60 with totesport at 11-1 this morning shows my commitment to us going up this year.
  12. Sounds interesting........especially if you collect from Hedge End!
  13. My 27 year old mate legging it out of Leicester Square tube station in search for a toilet. Only to return 5 minutes later with soaking wet jeans. I kid you not!
  14. We bought five tickets and will be expecting a refund. We didn't go before as we found a quality pub full of saints fans before we got to the stadium but afterwards we thought we'd try and find it. Was there a single sign advertising the name? We walked in, smelt the p!ss in the air, saw the 'quality' of the venue and decided to leave. This was in no way as it was described.

    Cats

    Buy a top floor flat.
  16. Full Saints home or away kit with astros. End of.
  17. I agree with Alpine. Sure it's a great day out but would be a better day out winning the league play-offs. I'm actually miserable at the thought of losing on Sunday and having a meaningless end to the season. I also think that the the two five goal spankings have flattered the perception of the team, who I think have been average at best for the majority of the season and have only added to the expectation come match day. People then groan and moan when we play anything below what they 'expect'. Before people start to question the players about Tuesday night, the fans were awful. The Northam were more interested in talking than singing and if it wasn't for the pikey backboard bangers in the Kingsland starting off Pompey songs every other song then there would have been no atmosphere at all in the stadium. Quite why block 42 think it's right to start waving their season tickets in the air is beyond me. It's pathetic and shameful. Almost as shameful as some of the songs that were sung about the lack of Hartlepool supporters in attendance. To get ANY Hartlepool fans down on a Tuesday night is commitment, let along the amount they did and they should have been applauded, not taken the p122 out of. I was ashamed to be a season ticket holder in the Northam on Tuesday night.
  18. You should buy a ticket to an ex-saints fundraiser and put your question to him yourself! Of course it's ok to quote him, he said it to the public. Nc wanted to sack pardew only six games in and has almost made Pardews task untenable. He also said that nc needs to surround himself with people that have football knowledge as he doesn't know hardly anything about the way things work. Also the way benali has been treated by nc at the club and also regarding the renting of his house has been shocking. Plenty more but can't be arsed to write it all. These aren't my opinions but those of mlt.
  19. Were you at the meal last night too? If you were then it was my donation to Kevin Moore's fund that Matt said he'd wear a tie for Soccer Saturday and then another lady said she'd chip in with more money if he wore a Saints one. He then said because of the money he'll wear a tie on both days - fair play, but because of the money involved he couldn't really say no, could he! His comments about Nicola Cortese were damning and had me slightly worried that all is not as it seems behind the scenes at SMS. And to answer the OP, he'll be working for SKY on Sunday, wearing his Saints tie of course!
  20. So many negative posters, so many spoilt little brats. Our expectations have changed since the start of the season and rightly so but it doesn't mean that we can't lose a game or two along the way. How about the expectations on the players to succeed? Maybe if the ball would have fallen to Rickie in front of goal we would have gone in ahead at the break. We had at least THREE good chances in the first half alone that against Huddersfield would have gone in but sometimes lady luck isn't with you. We had chances too in the second half but sometimes when you give your all and it still isn't coming off you do get frustrated and you do look to play the longer ball. Stop having a dig a Lloyd James too, it's getting boring and predictable. He's been out injured for months and you could see his shoulders physically drop after he failed to beat his man the first couple of times because of the groans from the crowd. We need to get behind this team and have fun next season when hopefully we and the players can tun it on and light up the league. Of course I still have money on promotion this year so I refuse to rule it out!
  21. Jeff Stelling will be there too for all you avid people watchers. So the tune "Who the f'kin hell are you?" probably won't be too smart in this instance.......or would it?
  22. Oh dear! It sounds a LOT like a poster on this forum if they're the ones that sit right and the end of the aisle/block. Cracking if true.......
  23. Don't be such a tightwad! Get a lift or a taxi to Parkway like the rest of us Hedge-Enders! On a side note......see you there!
  24. Based on the last two results, we'd lose every week and be relegated.
  25. I literally would bite your hand off if you offered me that. Thank you for the plaudits and I wont milk it but the original post made me laugh equally as much. I don't get a lot of respect because I'm too stingy to pay a fiver for something I can view and post on for free so it's nice to be appreciated.
