Has someone changed the keys around on your keyboard for a joke?
-
meh. My boss wanted me to do corporate at the MK Dons and Pompey games. No bloody way was my response! Corporate for the Wembley final? Same response I'm afraid! Why would you want to sit in there and not be able to sing and shout without looking like a yobbo. Plus you need to pay lip service to clients, Saints fans or not. England games at Wembley and Twickenham are a different story mind you.

I left on 90 minutes at the Pompey game and it took 15 minutes to get back to Hedge End - Result. I left on 90 minutes at the MK Dons game and it took 1.5hrs to get back to Hedge End - go figure!

"we 'were' " or "he was" I think is what you were looking to write NC! I must have missed it but fair play to the fella. Certainly can't wait for tomorrow, especially since my pompey clients have been on the phone the whole day trying to wind me up! -
Indeed it is, but expect a few old boys in there that'll be looking for trouble though. Only what I've been told by a few of the said bunch!
-
Tac-tics, you've missed me off, but if you're covered in the CB role then no probs.
-
CB or CF If needed of course. I always enjoy it when we play Paulsgrove in the league, so this should be pure excitement

Tidy = *****r from Shirley Warren. Wow, some people need to get out of Flares more often. -
If you need a 6'4" Hants Prem CB then count me in.
-
I'm there. Block 2, Row AA, Seat 23. No need for the replay as we'll get hammered because they're a classy Prem team.........WHO AM I KIDDING?!?! Night night all.

Here's a thought........ Maybe we don't actually want him long term but wanted to weaken MK Dons in the best possible way? Maybe we saw £300k as cheap way of making W*****y? I'm just in one of those moods. Where's my friend Nineteen Canteen? -
One Wayne Bridge ...theres only one Wayne Bridge

Haha, he's not gay, sorry to be the bearer of bad news! I 'knew' Bridger from my time in Winch and we both had a long chat at the Ocean Club in Marbella after the last world cup when many of the England players were there for Ashley Coles stag do. She was pregnant at the time and looked lovely, we even shared a joke that he was punching above his weight! On a serious note, he's a top fella, both him and Joe Cole were happy to pose for photos for me and he remembered the flag we got him to sign at Stamford Bridge when we first played them after his transfer and spent a good half an hour chatting to me as a fellow Saints fan. I hope he can get over this and move on. And as for Terry? I thought he was a God at first, a proper centre back, a leader, an England Captain. Over the last couple of years, we've all begun to see his weakness' and that he's actually pathetic. Will I support him at the World Cup? Of course. Do I think he's a sleazy, cheating ****? Most definitely. Once again, good luck Bridger. -
VERY happy bunny today. Tickets in Block 2. Bring on the skates. (I've not felt this childish in years!)
-
I spoke to the ticket office tonight, in person, and they told me that blocks one and two would NOT be opened straight away. How true this becomes, we'll find out at 9am tomorrow morning. If they don't let me buy a seat there (off the back of my ST), but allow a database "cash-sale" to buy one on the 5th, I wont be amused.
-
Technically Nursling. Next door to where I work.
-
It's quite simple. STH can buy their own ticket plus one other provided they supply the other persons Customer Number. The only downside to this is that the STH may have been buying all the extra tickets for the other person on the STH account. Hmmm...maybe I shouldn't post so early........

Rudi Skacel & Kevin Phillips to make a shock return to SMS ?
saintchris23 replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
I heard from a doorman friend of mine that Beckford was in town last night, he was adamant it was him. Not saying it's true but just passing on the rumour. -
Apart from getting through to the next round, the only highlight was getting back to a warm car today.

We are NOT stinking rich and if fans want to make a charity gesture then they can put their own hands in their pockets. Just a thought though benjii.....did you use big words to try and differentiate yourself from the yoof? Like I said, just a thought.
-
I find the ignorance on this forum unbelievable! Have the lunatics taken over the asylum or is it frequented by the yoof in abundance? When will people realise that we are a business and I'm pretty sure that our owners have NO interest in squandering money left, right and centre! People talking about not needing a sponsor because Marcus owns us, or the fact that we've got shed loads of money now so we can go and buy x, y or z leaves me shaking my head in disdain. I can assure you that is Marcus EVER read this forum, he'd shake his own head in pity and leave the room downbeat, thinking that we're the greediest, ungrateful and clueless bunch of people he's ever come across. To think that he's come along and bought a football club on the cheap on the say so of Nicola Cortese knowing that he'd have to invest a little to get the business going, knowing that if all else fails, he can mortgage the stadium and it's assets to gain his money back and sell the club, or at worst fold it, and STILL be in a profit at the end and some of you think it's a marriage made in heaven!? Wake up and smell the coffee people. TheDellDays is right and gets far too much stick for his comments in reference to us being the Man City of League One. Because if Marcus wanted to invest £10m in the club, he could do. Still safe in the knowledge that the assets of the club would cover his outlay, similar to a Directors loan in a Ltd or Plc business. If we get promoted all the way to the promised land and he decides that to take us further, he needs to mortgage the stadium et al, will you still be so happy? You only need to look at the team at the top of our league to realise how wrong it can go. Anyway, these are only my own thoughts, and no doubt many won't agree but I just couldn't sit back any longer and read the tripe that many of the over excited teenagers are writing. Chris

Just back.....although I did make a stop over in Nottingham! I thought the team struggled to settle in the first 10-15 minutes and let the ball bounce over the back four far too often for their tricky forward player to nip in time and time again. I was really impressed mid-week with Murtys in-swinging long clearances but agreed yesterday they were shocking. But can't fault the rest of his play. Should have been a penalty but the officials DID bottle it and yet were fussy beyond belief. I also thought our fans were pretty poor to be honest. Not exactly a rousing atmosphere to compete with from the home 'fans' but I was a little embarrassed up until we scored the first goal and kept thinking that Leeds would have made us look like a bunch from the library. Anyway - 1-3(a)/3-1(h) for the rest of the season will do me nicely. (thank you very much!)

Remids me of the way the old guard would re-invent the Soul Cellar thread. Or at least that's what it seemed like

I would say I got some in the showers after football last Saturday but that would imply something completely different to the Radox products I was using!!
