I've never really rated Martinez, and couldn't understand what Whelan was on about when he said that Martinez would only leave to go to a "top, top club". I honestly think that Whelan thought he hand the next Man U / Real / Barce manager at his club. Would love to have seen his face when Martinez told him he wanted to go to Everton.
