I know for sure that, if this was my son, I'd be doing exactly what Anne Williams is doing. For most of us (me included) Hillsborough is a distant memory, but Anne Williams is still stuck on that tragic day. I cant even begin to think about how she must feel... I hope she get the answers and closure she is looking for.

Christ, lets all moan then about the introduction of wallpaper tax.....back in 1712.

Um, have you lot missed something. The proposal is to pay for it out of PRIVATE funding. They need to raise £100m (£80m to build the yacht and £20m for "running costs") The yacht will also be used as an scientific / educational environment. I think some people love to have selective reading syndrome, and get all hot under the collar about something they've just made up. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2012/jan/16/royal-yacht-backed-david-cameron

I used to work for them a few years ago. Having been on the "inside" I can vouch for them. Still go to novatech to get my IT stuff. For a while they were the only company in the uk allowed to rebrand laptops, the laptops would come from the same factory that Toshiba laptops came from, novatech bought them and stuck their own name on it, then sold it for about £100 less that exactly the same laptop that had a toshiba sticker on.

Agree, especially after watching that Youtube clip.

My first response would be to sell it and buy him some toys, he's 12 FFS. Failing that... http://forums.crackberry.com/forum-f65/complete-wifi-how-47229/ http://www.blackberryforums.com/general-8500-series-discussion-gemini/205935-blackberry-curve-8520-wifi.html

Why Saints fans got arrested against Brighton.
Marsdinho replied to PhilippineSaint's topic in The Saints
That's why they were charged, they were arrested because they were caught shouting / saying homophobic things in front of police / stewards. -
Only if you are into football, that's the point of my argument. How is this still on the main board !!!

Why do you assume that because some people question why the club should do something for the 100 year anniversary, we don't give a f**k. For your information, I do actually give a f**k, just cant see why we have to do something at SMS. There are far more people that live in the city boundaries that have nothing to do with football, that being the case, why should the local football club get stick if it doesn't do anything. There is only one way to clear this up, lets find a relative and ask them where they plan to mark the occasion, bet they dont say "at SMS", bet they would (quite sensibly) rather mark it at one of the events around the city. Has anyone actually bothered to write / email the club to see if they are planning something.

Why don't we just tell Alpine we had a 6 day silence in SMS (The time it took the Carpathia to get to New York with survivors) he'll never know anyway. Also, why do people on here keep assuming that the crew were all Saints fans.

You've been watching Titanic again, haven't you?

Jaidi lives in the city, and may well have kids at local schools, but i wouldn't describe him as being "from Southampton" I'm not saying it wasn't a tragic event, but there seems to be a lot of people that think that a lot of the passengers and crew were Sotonians, they simply weren't. For that reason, I would have thought that any memorial should be held at one of the various sites around the city. If i was a relative and wanted to mark the occasion, the local football club wouldn't be the first place I thought of.
-
Ah, you may want to re-check your details. Although a lot of the crew were listed as being "from Southampton" this was usually just where they were living whilst they worked on the cruise ships. They were actually from all over the UK, loads of people came down from Merseyside to obtain work etc. I don't think that many were actually born in Southampton.

I have a PS3 and have never had a single problem with it. Its one of the best things I have ever bought. But, from the games you list, and the fact you have had a Wii, I would suggest you get an xbox. Maybe when you are all grown up you could get a PS3. Seriously, get whatever most of your mates have, as online gaming is where its at and there is no point getting one or the other if you cant play against your friends.

Ricky Gervais tweeted ME, true story.

Same here, my ipod has been redundant since I got an iphone and has just sat in a draw for months and months. Glad I can now swap it for a brand new one, that will go straight on ebay !

I'm getting the impression that it would be easier to list the Indian restaurants in Southampton that are right Sh*t holes.

A) Everyone knows we have (at least) the AOC money. B) Sharpe and Shaqiri don't play in the same position This is the last of my 3 for the day, so I don't want to end on a bad note Turkish. Like I said, i think its all bullsh*t anyway, but I can see some sense in signalling some intent.
-
I'm not saying SFC have done this, but I can see some sense in releasing a story about how we have made a bid for "player X", even if we haven't gone down the correct route (Don't forget, all a club needs to do it fax an offer to the parent club for it to count as a "bid") I think the story is nonsense anyway, but playing devils advocate, I could see such a ploy to be quite a good bit of positive PR prior to the Jan window opening up. Its like speed camera's, its a hell of a lot cheaper to put signs up saying speed camera's are present, than to actually install the speed camera - its has the same desired effect. As for our actual targets being put off, I don't think I have enough time to list all the players that have signed for a club after the clubs 1st choice target hadn't worked out.
-
No harm in bidding for players such as Shaqiri (even if NC / NA know that there is zero chance of him wanting to join us) It sends out a great message to our ACTUAL targets...

Got my Mrs a kindle for xmas, its easy to find free books etc online. Go to a website called, isohunt.com and do a search for .mobi or .epub files and you should find hundreds and hundreds. You will need to have either Vuze or bitTorrent installed to manage the download (I can help if you are having problems) Obviously, downloading books for free is illegal and not encouraged on this forum.

Hello, I'm thinking about getting a NAS enclosure for my home, to set up personal cloud storage. Ideally, I would be able to access the files on it from my Win7 laptop, Win7 PC, Iphone and Ipad; both at home, via my LAN, and remotely via the web. Can anyone suggest a good enclosure that is Ipad2 compatible, I only need to enclosure as I can get hold of SATA drives via work. Have found this Noontec one, but it only has one hard drive slot, ideally the enclosure would have 2. http://www.microdirect.co.uk/home/product/53021/noontec-n5-3-5--gigabit-nas-enclosure Don't want to spend too much on it, so anything around the £50 - £100 mark would be good. Cheers in advance.
