  1. Hope he wins Championship top goal scorer this season. I've got 50p e/w on it at 20/1 !!!!
  2. The Day The Devils Dropped In - By Neil Barber Brilliant account of the British airbourne drops in Normandy, in the few hours leading up to the D-Day invasion. Wont go in to details about the story, but the way that this book is written really makes the personal stories and accounts stand out. Its as if you are there and are being given a running commentary as the events unfold. A great book in its own right, but essential reading for anyone planning on visiting the site.
  3. I honestly don't know where to start with this article. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/9421500.Call_to_show_the_flag_for_Saints/?ref=rss
  4. Why did the semen cross the road. Because it was first w4nk in 2 weeks !!

  6. Sounded a bit like the magic bullet in JFK's car. Got to see the video of that !!!
  7. Kate Bush - 50 Words for snow. I’m a big fan of Kate Bush so I was always going to like it. As for a review, I’d like to copy this one from Metacritic..... "This is without doubt one of the best releases this year, alongside the achievement as best Christmas/winter album ever released. Kate bush once again fails to disappoint with this album, with seven mesmerizing songs that have the clever ability to paint a variety of settings, which transport to a scene of winter beauty. The metaphorical and literal implications are well executed, with stories telling of the indomitable spirit of the search for a snowflake, a ghostly lake spirit in search of a dog, an eerie, yet evocative relationship with a snowman, the humanizing of a yeti, a timeless partnership spanning hundreds of years and lastly a religious portrayal of life surrounded by angels. It’s hard to tell of an album that accomplishes so much, as well as alongside a central theme to link the stories. This definitely requires multiple listens for maximum appreciation, as each time you'll find new aspects to the music as well as a deeper understanding of the meaning. The idea that the album is set against a backdrop of falling snow sums the story perfectly..It is essential."
  8. Went to India in 1997, saw plenty of leppers. In fact Old Delhi reminded me a bit of Life Of Brian. "Penny for an ex lepper"
  9. Surely the OP has to explain himself.....please can he they enlighten us as to how his young son ended up being a skate. How the hell has the wife got her way and turned him into one of the few. Would have liked to be a fly on the wall when that conversation took place, assuming there was one !!!!
  10. Ted Bates statue as Milan Mandaric
  11. All I can think of is a conversation between Blackadder and Samuel Johnson.
  12. I swear on Matt Le Tissier's life that my cousin was called Wayne King, I say "was" as when he got to secondary school (funnily enough!!) he changed his surname by deed poll. I'm sure I've mentioned it before on here. Mate of mine at work used to go to school with a Richard Waddington...aka D1ck Wad !!!! I also work with someone who's name is Manmeet Gaiwad. I've had to have counselling to get over the hilarity of that
  13. Bet its not the first time either of those two "ladies" have been smashed about the ring.... I'm here all week....
  14. Watch what you say to the "bummers", I mean, "sexually challenged" http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9370655.Police_wants_Saints_fans__help_to_beat_homophobes/
  15. I imagine we may go back in for one of our summer targets... Baldock, has gone to WHU Sharpe will stay at Donny, or if he leaves, he will go to Ipswich. IMHO. Sordell Maynard Rodrigues As for center backs, god knows, our targets in this area weren't reported as much as our targets up front.. Gorkss has gone to Reading. Um...
  16. Can (sort of) echo what others have said on here. My wife had it done at Optical Express in West Quay, she say its the best thing she has ever done. now has brilliant vision and wish she had done it earlier. word of warning though, the adverts on TV say from £500 per eye, remember the "FROM" bit as hers cost £1500 per eye. She is still happy that she spent the £3k though (gets to see my handsome face in total clarity!!!)
  17. Hello, Going up to London on Sunday for the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the cenotaph. Normally, when going to London, I would park at Richmond or Morden and get the tube, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any free parking closer to central London. Have to be at Whitehall for 10am and plan to spend the day up there. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
  18. I still refer to SMS as The Dell, everyone knows what you are talking about.
  19. Why has it been deleted then, if it was true they should have no problem printing it.
  20. Your post doesn't make any sense at all !!! I think you have me confused with someone else. Where have I moaned about the echo getting stories off of forums, please show me an example. can you also re read the bit in bold and explain yourself further, other than it not making sense, I have never done this, are you sure you have the right person. Jeez, sometimes you just have to use your brain, put your hands up and say "fair enough, i f*cked right up there and confused Marsdinho with someone else and wrote a rather poorly worded post on a saints forum" FWIW, this is the bit that i think is cr*p "You see my opposite numbers at the Southampton Echo have been banned from St Mary’s for the last 18 months and have to cobble their home match reports together from listening to local radio commentary and by sneaking a spy into the stands." The journalist also deleted the section where it said that the echo had to buy an anonymous season ticket and go undercover as NC had instructed stewards to throw them out.
  21. More cr*p from the press... http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2011/11/09/andy-turner-why-the-press-and-football-clubs-must-work-together-92746-29745295/?
  22. Please don't patronise me, we could all post pictures to illustrate our point of view. Why don't you put "civilian deaths in Iraq" or "civilian deaths in Afghanistan" into Google images.
  23. St Paul's was seen as an symbol of our defiance against the German bombing campaign, the Germans thought that if they flattened St Paul's it would have dealt a massive blow to Britain's morale. Churchill knew this as well, so it was protected at all costs. Obviously, a direct hit would have wiped it out, but an incendiary bombs or nearby fires were quickly dealt with. At one point an incendiary bomb landed on the roof and a (very brave) fire warden climbed up to try and retrieve it !!! Luckily it fell out of the roof and on to the streets below. John Boy Saint - I'm particularly interested in WW2 and have visited many sites associated with it, next year I plan to go to Auschwitz and see it for myself.
  24. Some amazing photo's there. I must admit, the series entitled "The Holocaust" is particularly difficult to view. http://www.theatlantic.com/infocus/ww2.html
  25. This. Personally, I don't think people that sign up to a "war" that we have absolutely no reason to be involved in, should be classed as heroes. The real heroes didn't have a choice, they signed up because it was the calling of their generation, when we were the good guys, fighting an evil dictator hell bent on world domination Which is why I wear a poppy and not a Help For Heroes wrist band.
