As much as I hate Redknapp for 1) taking us down and 2) walking out on us to return back to his "spiritual home", I can't help but think that his return would be a positive. Look at the job he did with Spurs, also it wasn't too long ago he was being publicly backed for the England job. The guy is no fool, but I do think he will only be looking for the next best thing and leave us up **** creek again.

Every Saints fan I have spoken to also thinks that it is/was a mistake leaving Lambert out. I think that Roger although is not an official spokesman for all Saints fans is just saying what most people are thinking.

At the end of the day Lambert has shown over the last 8 games that he is our biggest goal treat. With that in mind it seems ridiculous to drop him. Saint86 the difference between Adkins dropping Lambert and Ferguson dropping Rooney is huge! Man U can afford to do it with the likes of Van Persie, Welbeck etc where as we have no other real replacements. JRod I have no doubt will come good but at this moment in time is a Championship player at best. Mayuka looks good but is short of game time, Gaston is injured and Guly isn't a striker.

As much as I think that Davis has been rubbish this season, I don't think Gazza is the answer.

Substations weren't great, but Fonte should have been closer for the last two goals. Him and Davis (I know he saved the penalty) are turning into liabilities. This said once again Saints showed the world they can mix it with the big boys.

I think we will dish out the spanking!

Lambert WILL score goals given the right service no matter what league he is in. With pace added to the team and GR taking some of the pressure off Lambert I think you'll find he will start to find the net on a regular basis.
