This. For me, if we sign no one then we can all march on St. Mary's a la Newcastle when Keegan sold Cole to United and issue our demands...

Enough's enough FFS. No matter how anyone tries to justify or dress this up... We're being decimated and crucially the spirit and momentum will be affected. Football is about many things and confidence and spirit are crucial. Koeman has a tough job on IMO. I hope these happy-clappers are right and we secure our targets.. Can't imagine us competing for anything other than bottom 6 places otherwise... Shame, a crying bloody shame.

Koeman's first Southampton press conference 11/7/14
jasonb replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Big words there at the end! Allez Morgan! Dejan has got it coming by the sounds of it! Good. Despite all the Barca/Suarez stuff I was very impressed by that interview. A great grasp of English and seemed very forthright in his comments. I got the feeling that not a lot will be off limits this season. Deflected a few things as you would imagine but on the whole - very impressed. Officially welcome to Saints RK(oeman) -

Dang! I had forgotten about that little fella. He seemed a nice chap. I wonder what he's up to now... We never got to say goodbye to him *sniff* -
Anybody out there into Sim racing? I have worked in this genre of games for almost 15 years and my latest game is out there in Beta on Steam. Here is a video of Christian Vietoris (current DTM driver) presenting Budapest track to DTM fans using RaceRoom EVO http://lnkd.in/d86AJks This is in no way intended as a plug to go buy it. It's free to play with options to buy more tracks/cars in game. Besides, its a niche market but thought I would share as I think it's pretty cool to see a pro driver driving something I made I build the cars btw and do all the setup stuff. A bit boring at times but fun when the product gets out there and this kind of exposure happens.

Tadic Vs Feyenoord A better highlights clip perhaps (certainly than I have seen - apologies if posted elsewhere in the thread). Takes a cracking pen at 3:58 - and 5:30 I think we may of found ourselves a new penalty king ? The Eredivisie may be deemed lesser quality than the EPL but its still pretty fast paced and they don't hold back in the challenges so Tadic (hopefully) will adjust just fine.

That's the problem with this place.. Not enough women post.

Very happy with the new kit. My son will love it (I only buy it for him these days). He gets some proper looks up here in Manchester and a lot of people didn't associate last years kit with us at all. This year there will be no doubt.. Well from a distance it'll be us, Sunderland or stoke I suppose :-) Defo has a hint of the continent about it. As some one else said Dutch or Spanish flavour.

State of the forum thread: Endless random negative musing threads
jasonb replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I wish there was an 'eliminate all posters from a thread PERMANENTLY' button. I realise I too have now contributed to this thread but I would gladly take one for the team... They're all here... we could once and for all banish these morons. -
Agreed, however as someone else stated on this thread: he should not be allowed to join a direct rival. That would be ridiculous. Liverpool are a rival and we've sold them 2 of our players already. Spurs also should be considered rivals and in no way should we strengthen their team. It's preposterous to even consider it. For me, Lovren wanting out is the worst of the players that have left or are thinking about leaving. He's been here one year! Saying that, we don't want players like this who have lost the faith. No use to anyone. Slap a £15m price tag on him and the proviso he is sold abroad. Make it so Reed.

Very good. Glad to see some light-hearted posting today.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
jasonb replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Liverpool forum suggesting fee was £16m to Saints with £4m to Bournemouth. Fee rises to £23m based on performance clauses etc. Not sure if Bournemouth net any more from the performance payments or their share is final. -

That is actually a good, well balanced read. Thanks for posting. -

Its called the ECHO... see they even have the same name for their so-called local rag as us. Next they'll be wanting our tourism business in the form of Ocean Liners.. oh! Dang! -
This sounds like green shoots to me... Every cloud has a silver lining etc.

That's a good question. I think I want the club to be seen to be acting with respect and dignity. I realise it changes nothing. I realise it's probably far from the sentiments they want to convey. But it would sit better with me personally. I have realised through debating and comments on this thread that I am very much alone in this sentimental and archaic approach to communication. It's not about giving Lallana his dues and lavishing him with plaudits. He had those at the awards dinner. It's merely doing things right.

I know its hard to take anyone's word at face value on an internet forum but I genuinely wasn't on a wind-up or out for attention. Sorry you felt that I was. I totally agree with you regarding the fact we have a right to feel angry and vent our frustrations. Perhaps if contributors acknowledged his contribution a bit more and then proclaimed "f**k him" I wouldn't of felt so irked.

I appreciate your support nonetheless.

I agree it was in no way offensive or critical. I disagree that it was perfect though. I think it should of contained at least some sort of recognition and I think it should of hinted at the clubs disappointment in Adam's departure. Sure saying nothing looks as good as a smack in the face but I personally think they should of shown some class and maintained a dignified stance. Its just my opinion though. I am allowed to have one apparently. Also, I think you took a jibe at me for starting another thread on the subject. I believe this thread was commenting on a specific part of the Lallana saga and was worthy of a new thread. it was in no way intended as a 'look at me' type of thing. Look at my post count, look up how many threads I've started. I've become more visible in recent months due to the quality of the forum improving vastly. Sorry about that. I will undoubtedly retreat back into my cave following my own PR disaster today.

Keep it Saintly there's a nice chap. I've posted something which goes against popular opinion. I've took some flak for it. Fair enough. I'll live.
-
Totally agree. I didn't realise I was preaching though. More stating that I was disappointed. I certainly wasn't telling anyone how they should of reacted. It's got nothing to do with me what people say on a public forum after all. However, as you quite rightly state, I too should be allowed to say what is on my mind.

Dang you quoted me before my edit! I changed my mind as I was digging a deeper hole
