What I find most disturbing is the reclassification of the class system into several bands.. Alarming even still is people openly admitting to being middle ****ing class!! You couldn't make it up! Modern Britain eh!

Yeah and for all this talk of the Black Box isn't it just a sophisticated database with meta tagging at its core. The snippets we saw of the team busy at work in front of their Mac computers was basically a load of young nippers watching matches and editing videos to be input into the Black Box. This guy may of helped develop this system but as mentioned it's not a fail proof system and players will still excel or fail no matter how much research is done.

This. Other clubs seem to be able to chose not to sell to a direct rival so we should exercise the same right. I know it depends who comes in for him and he will have a major say in it of course but given the choice I would rather he went abroad. However, he may need to play CL football for a season or two to make that leap which sadly means he'll probably go to Arsenal. Bloody Arsenal again FFS EDIT: Forgot to add he will get my full appreciation for his years of service and for sticking around this season. He could so eaily of kicked-off and done a Lovren but he was pursuaded otherwise and has played out of his skin every minute he;s played. Just saw this myself. This and the Alderweireld story seem to me to be trying to unsettle us a little. I guess it goes with the territory as all the big clubs have positive and negative press surrounding them. We'll see more and more posturing as the season goes on with players/agents/managers using the media to their own end. All part of the game.

I turned to my mate at Layton Orient away (Barnard scored) and told him to watch Fonte.. We both agreed Fonte played with a pipe in his mouth and wearing his slippers... Sooooo good in league 1. Fantastic in the Championship and now showing his class in the Prem. To think he dropped down a division to join our 'project'. Captain marvellous :-)

Very understated and the perfect tribute IMO. A fitting legacy and something everyone working for the club should feel immensely privileged and proud of. Personally, I am extremely proud of our achievements and we will look back at these times with great enjoyment in years to come... So, enjoy it fellow supporters... its what we've always dreamed of. Now to actually winning something and adding our name to the history of this great game once again. It's surely our turn by now??? UP THE SAINTS!!!!
