"I had to wake up the boys in the half time" - Ronald Koeman

Indeed. Great support for the lad as chances kept coming and he kept missing. Superb effort from the travelling fans.

I'm Lovren(sic) this thread as much as anyone but surely its rightful home is The Lounge?? The Saints is '100% Saints discussion' as the sub-title suggests. Mods... you know what to do...

I saw it. I cannot say I was overly upset by what he said. As already mentioned his declaration of love for the club will forever endure was extremely heartfelt and I took that at face value. FFS this is football and regardless what Shankly said all those years ago re: football being more important than life... He was WRONG!

Me and my son thought it was great. Well done and I thought the production values were quite high which shows the media team are really into what they are doing... that and a job load of high-end Veho gear probably means its Christmas day in the SFC media office atm. Keep up the good work chaps! Onwards and upwards.

I go on RAWK a bit too and they are mostly level-headed bunch. I like their self policing and moderation. Anything that strays off topic gets jumped on and they aren't afraid to lock/shut down threads. Very organised forum. We could learn a lot from them in that regard. It is interesting to see other forums completely miss irony and sarcasm at times too. Of course they won't know who the clowns are on here but other forums seem to take this forum far too seriously. I guess the likes of MLG signing up for other teams forums brandishing photos of the stadium redevelopment and waffling on about champions league follows Saints supporters around the internet. Back to the match... I can see this being a little closer than some predictions. We are fielding a fairly strong team and one packed full of players out to impress Koeman. That said I do see Liverpool running out winners with home advantage and a self belief that can only of been enriched following the progress under Rodgers last season. I'll say 2 - 0 to the red men sadly. I'll be delighted with a good perfoance from the lads and a clearer picture of how Koeman will set us up this season.

Good signing, clearly we needed backup in this position and it's been addressed by the board and Les Reed. Not only that we've signed a lad with bags of potential and already an England squad member. Jolly good.. Keep it going Saints. I'm not greedy by any means but right about now I ca see the plan unfolding.. Sell off stars at peak of their games for whopping fees and reinvest wisely. Start over.. Much more healthy system and one that should enable us to avoid doing a Pompey or a Leeds United etc. In fact, one could argue that this self sustainability is The Southampton Way!

Katarina Doesn't Want To Invest Anymore In The Club - Krueger

Indeed. So refreshing to read reasoned, researched posts backed up with accurate evidence. This thread could well be a turning point where decent posters take the forum back. All together now... -
He was chopped up and fed to the pigs out at Carrington weeks ago. True story.

Wizwig/ace stream here too. Usually look out for bloodzeed streams as his are usually the best. I too have virgin media 120MB but I still get the odd stutter and some games are a bit crappy but that tends to be the bigger games. More often than not I have a perfect HD viewing experience. Will stick with this option for now as I'm going to get rid of tv and telephone services from virgin.

I think if we finish 8th again (basically top of our league) then Koeman will have worked a miracle. That's not to sound like I don't think he can finish 8th. If we bring in a nice mix of loans and youth to compliment our own (the Everton model), I think we could do rather better than people expect us to.

Two question that those crucifying the board need to answer

Oh yeah, people go on about Titanic, Titanic... Let me tell you something about the Titanic, people forget, people forget that on the Titanic's maiden voyage there were over 1000 miles of uneventful, very pleasurable cruising before it hit the iceberg! -
Haha it gets worse by the hour... Reed is looking a bit daft now unfortunately. His words are complete contradictions to what is actually happening. Like it or not, his credibility is diminishing. The board best get some super positive deals over the line soon... And I mean real statements of intent because what's left plus the two new lads isn't enough.... The super positive among our fan base will soon turn too if this young team start getting battered every week... And when the super positive guys blow-up.. You know s h i t is gonna hit the fan. Ho hum...

Why are the new home shirts so long?? I was on the queue last week to have name and number printed and I saw a few people buying nighties for their wives. Also the fit is just plain awful. Not that impressed I'm sad to say. I only get one now for my son thee days and we're both a little disappointed. Shame as other than the quality and the fit it's a pleasant enough shirt I guess.

No idea although he lived life to the full so make your own assumptions I guess.

Sad to announce the passing of the legendary Jon Fat Beast. Jon was originally from Woolston and a huge Saints fan. He was a massive part of the indie music scene in the late 80s and 90s. Most notably responsible for comparing and promoting at the Bull & Gate, Kentish Town. Probably more notorious as the lighting engineer turned MC for popular indie rockers Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine. I didn't know him really but bumped into him often on the 90s indie music scene where he would more often than not be wearing his Saints shirt with Fat Le Tiss on the back! A larger than life character in more ways than one who didn't give a toss and loved life to the full. Carter gigs would always begin with him appearing on stage to introduce the band (usually in mostly naked) with the audience predictably replying with a raucous rendition of YOU FAT BASTARD! This became so intrinsic to a Carter gig that the band included a crowd sample on their breakthrough record '30 Something'... And so a legend was born. Happy days... RIP Saint JON
