Poch signed him. He believes in him. He looks utter class as is only going to improve. I love him.

Oh and how good was it to bring on Osvaldo???? He looked well up for it and quality to boot! No chance this guy is going the way of Gaston.

Called it right in the build-up thread. I said 3 nil but I just felt we would be too good today. I also have to admit my legs went a bit when they scored but that's an old Southampton fan trait I have been having therapy for over 35 years. Thought we lost our way a tiny bit after they scored and put us under pressure and although they had nothing to lose by that stage it was a commendable second half by the Tigers. Great use of the bench by MP and great to see Cork back in action. Maybe he will resurrect his partnership with our French wizard and have a similar galvanizing impact on our season as he did last. Imagine that... Cork coming in and pushing us on to the next, next level. #OurDreamIsReal

3 nil Saints. Sick of all this talk of close game and Hull are tough. Arrogant or not, we should win this one to set us up for the tough games ahead. COYRs

LOL! I don't care what anyone says... you've got the timing of Eric Morecombe!

Fantastic news for the lads and I'm sure others will feature if we maintain this momentum. Now all we need is some big European nights and NONE of our players will want to bugger off and play for someone else. Bravo Roy!

Nah for me he is this generations Anders Svensson! All the ability in the world to take a game by the scruff of the neck and really pull the strings but either a) can't be arsed or b) can't do it. Sell him and get Benaga in on January 1st.

I'm off to the 'Gaston in the January Sales' thread..
-
He's let a few people down. Of course we all wanted him to do well and the odd flashes and 10 minutes here and 5 minutes there of excellent play proved he could do it. Maybe its an attitude thing more than a physical thing with him. I don't think we'll ever know. And to think.. we poached him from under Liverpool's noses... Hmmm... Still, we all buy a lemon now and again. Onwards and upwards.

Subbed against Sunderland B team is all you need to know about Ramirez... I've lost the faith with him now I'm sorry to say.
-
Add Ramirez to the Lee situation. I'm afraid he has proved his doubters correct tonight... utter garbage! No impetus and apparently very little appetite for the game. Where's you pride FFS!!!

bugger missed a goal putting my son to bed... what happened?
-
The commentator summed Lee up there by saying he wouldn't be surprised if Lee went out on loan again in January... definitely on that showing.
-
Hmm. Interesting first half I suppose. Some players looking for up for it than others. Sunderland do look the more threatening I would say. Some real purpose and intent in their attacking. We on the other hand look a little ponderous up front at times... A bit like the first XI you could argue. Jay Rod with some direct running going nowhere and Lee pretty bad actually. The ball was bouncing off his heels a lot as he ran and forgot to take the ball. Probably very rusty. Still a very winnable match with this line-up.

Oh dear Gaston... gotta work the keeper at least.
-
Gaston... just do that ALL THE TIME!
-
Love the fact we have a playing philosophy throughout the club. This could be our first team out there.
-
welcome to the game Gaston!

Reed is erm... diminutive.

Exactly what we are doing. Don't get the 'gang' back together very often these days. We identified this away early doors and decided to spend the weekend in Newcastle. Looking forward to it.

Win something > finishing 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th. I was gutted we never won either of the championships when we won promotion. Although I do recall people saying they'd rather go up as runners up because it was sad celebrating winning a no mark league title. Pure lunacy if you ask me.
-
I see Roma let another goal in at the weekend.
-
Same names cropping up again and again with multiple posts per thread and basically squabbling like a bunch of kids. Shameful really. The sad thing is you can't even see that its YOU who are making us look like d!ckheads to other fans.

Boruc was shown great support as he came off at half time. The crowd really got behind him chanting "one Artur Boruc, there's only one Artur Boruc" Certainly no scape-goating at the game. Himinez was all arms round him too.. I thought he took it well as the home fans have him loads of stick initially. Solid
