  1. Strikes and gutters boys and girls... Although it has to be said we seem to be having our Eastenders/Corrie moment just now. At least there is something to talk about right?
  2. All I want to know is it time to go on a fixed rate yet? I have been tracking 0.99% above base for the last 4 years. Unfortunately haven't been in a position to overpay in those 4 years which I would of loved to of done. I think I've seen 2 years fixed rates at 2.49% at first direct but they won't last long once the rates go up. Stick or twist I suppose.
  3. Is Herbie the only tour guide at St Mary's? I only ask as my son and I were lucky enough to get a stadium tour for Christmas and I love to be shown round by Herbie. I know I will have to be quick as I'd like to coincide it with a home game this season. Tour on the Friday and then game on the Saturday sort of thing.
  4. Like he said in the doc. What is living? He feels alive doing this.
  5. Hardly the same at all but many of the guys in those shows were also professional extreme sports stars, skateboarding in particular. It displays a level of commitment and ability far beyond anything any average person could ever attain. The talent-less comment also IMO doesn't reflect the level of physical ability James has developed over a number of years. This guy has developed an elite level of physical ability far in excess of the average person. I don't think he started out doing it for attention. From what I gether he failed at school and had no direction or purpose in his life. He never found something that grabbed him academically. There are a lot of people out there whom this is a real issue for. We can't all find a path straight away in our teens. James developed an interest in Parkour, and combined it with his interest in film and photography and discovered through YouTube that other people were also into the same thing and liked what he was doing. The fact that he is now developing a career out of being a professional extreme sports star is fantastic and I congratulate him for finding something he enjoys. I can't endorse what James does nor would I like my son doing anything like this. But this guys story got me excited at the possibilities out there. I'm almost 40 now and life is pretty much mapped out for me from here on in. I bought a ticket on the rat race express and am consumed by work, bills, ISA's and trying to pay off my mortgage. For a few minutes I dream't I was as free as James. Then I remembered I hate heights so got back on with my work... Anyway, as I say, the interest in him increases and so does his marketability it seems as he has other deals and endorsements coming in all the time: http://www.epictv.com/media/podcast/dont-look-down-james-kingston-crane-climber--freerunner-coming-soon-to-epictv-/272225
  6. Watched the doc last night and am still totally fascinated by this guy and his mad skills. He got some flak on twitter at people suggesting his mother should stop funding his trips abroad but the haters probably didn't realise he already has endorsements from the likes of GoPro HD cameras etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he's wearing a red bull teeshirt pretty soon. He's doing more with his life than I could dream of. Fair play to a lad who lacked direction or even a reason to exist. He'll now get to see the world, earn loads of money doing what he loves in films, tv, promotional work for his sponsors etc. Not bad for a school drop-out. Must Hang from the You Crane* was proper bonkers tho *appropriated from a tweet. Can't take any credit for that clever-ness :-)
  7. The Mail understands that former Portsmouth chairman Milan Manderic is interested in making a surprise bid to buy Southampton Football Club. In a statement released by his solicitors he said of the bid "it is a very exciting project that needs a stern Serbian-hand to move it forward. I also want the opportunity of re-instating my statue that was cruelly removed several years ago".
  8. This is all in complete contrast to the widespread condemnation the French showed when that magazine printed pictures of their president sneaking about with that actress. I wish this country could show a bit more class. It's about time there was concerted efforts to get rid of these horrible publications(sic). I stopped reading papers many, many years ago. The only thing you can trust is the date printed on the front.
  9. Yes thanks for this.. an excellent contribution. Informative and knowledgeable... a complete contrast to the usual nonsense.
  10. A grim prospect indeed. We'll probably be back in stripes by then tho so everything will be okay...
  11. No probs.. I never suggested the removal of SRL... just that I am primed and ready should it come to that
  12. I've offered my services to do the neccesary with that sodding banner... last time was to include Big Ron and remove Keegan... not heard anything back tho so guess I'm not required: I realise that Ron would need to be shifted left and into the correct timeline... the above was a very quick mock-up without the actually PNG or PSD file to play with.
  13. LOL ! That cheered me up. Bravo.
  14. Not sure if ever be crossing the road with NC in order to get run down by a double decker bus...
  15. My brother lives opposite the training ground entrance (true fact) and he's heard nada either...
  16. Haha you wish you did!
  17. The opposite is also true to an extent. In the summer he said he couldn't see what the future at Saints was without NC as the driving force. Just shows how quickly football changes these days. Four weeks ago MP was being courted by Spurs (in the press at least). And now could be about to walk out on a Premier League managers position. I bet MP didn't get much sleep last night.

    Will MP Leave

As my old man used to tell me. Only ever leave a perfectly good job if you have another one to go to. Not sure this applies to football managers who earn crazy money tho.
  19. Have you seen the full video of this intelligent muscle animation system ?? Quite brilliant work.. soon we won't need animators. Hurrrah! Animators are the bane of my life. http://t.co/vtGDyxdPXd
  20. Just listening to this TalkSport station as people said we are the hot topic and my god... this DJ who is on now.. Adrian? Basically he's begging people to call up AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE!! have a natter with him, offer some views AND THEN he will dismiss everything the caller has just said and spout his own total waffle. Two questions: a) why is this moron employed and b) what possess people to call in and be waffled at AND CHARGED for the privilege. I don't get it. Inane to say the absolute least.
  21. I feel physically sick !
  22. Hmm...severance package doesn't sound good does it? House of cards indeed. A strange one from the outset. Swiss/German industrialist buys football club in a city he has a few cranes on the docks. Okay so theory is he got "into" us during the remainder of his life but it was still an odd purchase and in reality was surely just to make some bosh. Clearly we are now at our peak in terms of a resale value. If I was Katerina I would be looking to sell now too. Pulling the funding from Cortese is the start if that process. One caveat to this is that I would imagine to maximise sale price you would want a stable situation at the club. As a footnote: I was extremely pleased Markus bought us back from the brink. Him and Cortese have been sensational in turning this rudderless ship around. Hmm
  23. Nothing ever lasts forever...
