Mike Dean - Can anyone remember him giving us a 50/50 decision ?
Cricketphilly replied to redkeith's topic in The Saints
One problem is that they are self regulating (I think). Therefore they are of one mindset and that seems to be the letter of the Law. If their governing panel had independents sat on it, ex-players for example, then maybe we would get interpretations of the laws, the spirit if you like. The Matt Cash incident was a perfect example, yes the ball did touch his thigh before hitting his outstretched arm. The law was never intended for the ball grazing off someone, it was for the ball to be deflected and deviated off it's path onto the hand. The referees are don't want to make their own interpretations (use common sense?) If they took advice from independents rather than other referees we may see some improvement. Don't get me started on the offside laws......... -
Half season loan as we are thin on the ground Colin?
-
I'll play Devil's advocate then. Best centre half in the league not getting a game. Who fancies a loan deal?

Why anyone still has Sky or BT now is beyond me, a Kodi firestick is around £60 and shows all football live. It maybe a short term gizmo but will wreck Sky i'm sure and hence the billions poured into football. Ignoring any moral issues one might have, why give Sky a grand a year? Let them drop their prices to a reasonable level.

I'm sure signings between British clubs are subject to VAT, so won't be 45 mill in the bank. Please feel free to prove me wrong though.. -
That was John McGrath and the Chelsea player was Ian Hutchinson. Ossie asked if Hutch had hit him and the response was positive, but he'd broke his hand on his head.

Correct Ewell, Bill Radford's. Nick's flat is very close (I won't dilate for obvious reasons) PS I'm in Ewell

I'm mates with his Dad Nick. They're a lovely family. Nick was driving Wills down to Southampton from Stoneleigh (Epsom) most afternoons as a kid. It's nice to see their hard work maybe paying off.

Ha Ha, no worries I can take a dig !

Was it just me or did Alderweireld (not the dropping of Toby, since he's gone) seem no better than an average centre half anyway? Was bleedin' awful for Belgium also.

I see what you did there

I heard he was AC/DC

For those of you so inclined, on the 18th and 19th of May at Graham Budd auctions, lot 552. 'Guly Do Prado:a team-signed red and white Southampton No 10 jersey from the 2011-12 Premier League promotion season'. £100-£150. Happy bidding, I reckon it will sell for £100.

Soylent Green? -
My Burnley supporting chum said they got a draw with Chelsea by kicking them to bits. Maybe they'll take an aggressive line with us.
-
My current pet hate? 'Can I get a...?'. 'No you can't get it, i'll get it, you don't work here!'
-
Rideout and Sam Vokes both went to Lymington's finest, Priestlands...strange but true.
