  2. Agree with all of that post, and you aren’t unreasonable at all to think Rasmus will probably appoint Goztepe’s manager before enjoying another vape, judging by his horrific track-record (Brentford is 100% Phil Giles). Dragan dissolving SR and re-formulating with a new overall DoF and new investors is the only long-term way out of this debacle.
  3. See the man”s own words post-match. Indisputable on how he wants them to play.
  4. He wants them to always play out, not mix it and move it quicker as a variation. Russell Martin’s own words,
  5. Possibly a bit optimistic but clear the players can and will compete given the licence/ability to ignore the preening, grass-picking buffoon on the touch line. Also 100% clear the manager is the problem and the temperature change from the media and fans was detectable today. He will be toast shortly.
  6. Sugawara was a bit unfortunate, that was ball to hand via a deflection. But the dropping off and slow passing encouraged Liverpool’s press to reassemble and create the situation in the first place.
  7. He should have fallen with the month but that bullshitter who line manages him and used to make Phil Giles transfer spreadsheets at Brentford knows better. And Giles’s tea. Bet it tasted rank as well. Overstewed just like our playing out from the back obsessively.
  8. We didn’t - you never do if you gift a CL side three goals straight from the Tyro League. When the players told the manager to fuck off I agree we were well in the game, moving the ball much faster, asking Liverpool questions, Paul holding up really well, Dibling and AA going at people. The players showed yet again they can compete but only with the shackles off. They are too cosseted to be ambitious and chuck him under the bus, to the club’s detriment.
  9. The main issue was him pushing the defence and midfield back. Perhaps he needs a grow a pair of 90s style curtains so long that he can’t see the pitch?
  10. Has shown some promising signs but needs a manager who understands the need to play off the shoulder. Funeral build up doesn’t suit him. He’d have thrived earlier in the second half when the players chucked Russball in the bin where it belongs and mived it much faster, troubling this league’s best.
  11. Agree with all of that. Their first comes from the managers instructions, kick the fucker upfield past the press, not straight into it. Second is an individual error but if you come for it, clear the opponent and the ball into row Z, and the third is default sitting deep albeit a suspect decision.
  12. They’ve been good enough most of the game but lack of fitness and reverting to the manager’s chosen methods invited Liverpool on. Not saying they’d have got 30 points plus but we’ll never know with a manager making Branfoot look like Alex Ferguson.
  13. I don’t know, today has shown that with the RM funeral shackles removed, these players can compete effectively. And the press have been very critical of the two goals conceded and spells wasted passed around the back, whilst praising the more proactive moment. The fans have been great today in supporting the players and barracking Russball.
  14. Pressure building up on Martin and his methods from fans, media and the positive moments today which have been contrary to his wishes. Their first goal however was very much on him and McCarthy.
  15. The players should have the answer from their first goal and both of ours, but the manager isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
  16. Crowd need to give this renewed bout of playing around the back the bird again. It helped earlier with the cheers for Alex’s long kick and need to drive the players in a forwards direction here or it’s a long last 15.
  17. He’s a stop it/catch it/kick it long goalkeeper. When he does that he’s fine. He’s got sucked in by all the Russell bullshit and started thinking he needs to be a sweeper keeper.
  18. Referee watching a different game to us.
  19. Looked nicely played in to me. Did exactly what it needed to for Fernandes to step onto it.
  20. Charlie Taylor and I’d agree with you
  21. A feel of the rapid counter-attack winner v Everton, but AA assisting for Fernandes this time. These players are better at a quicker tempo. Reminded me of a goal from the early Ralph period.
  22. No wonder RM looks grumpy
  23. Les’s first touch is worse than Carlton Palmer’s - he can mis-control further and harder than AA can shoot it.
  24. Which we’ve not had for so long, probably Che in 21/22.
  25. As someone who grew up with Danny Wallace and Steve Moran as football heroes before MLT emerged, darting and direct is always good to watch (and effective).
