  1. A.B-K Seems weird to be trying to get rid of a young player who's recently become a full German international. I know he was injured quite a lot but surely he's had the op on his shoulder over the summer? Unless he really is crocked, he will be a top player IMO
  2. I know absolutely nothing about Tom Cannon, but it's hard to believe that Everton have a striker who's any good - or they'd want to be playing him themselves surely? PS Is he a big shot? Should we roll out the barrel for him? Etc....
  3. Has he signed in time to be eligible for tomorrow?
  4. Particularly their complaints about chelsea tapping up --- something they never do! Ask van dijk, lallana, etc.
  5. Agree. Now they get to the quicker bit sooner, it gets even us old fogeys in the Kingsland clapping. And OWTS is our song. It's important to keep tradition and anything that's particular to one club going, or every crowd becomes interchangeable. Similarly good on the Norwich fans for still singing "on the ball city" - their song for many many years - and Stoke for delilah (if it's still allowed!) .... etc.
  6. Well that scuppers that idea! 😄 Wonder why Chelsea seem to be going above the 50 then. Seems to be too good to not have a catch.
  7. I wonder if the 'contract' mentioned here is for the transfer, rather than for the player himself. Ie are they trying to spread the fee over 7 years of installments to get around FFP ? That might explain why they'd go above our quoted price of £50mill....to persuade us to take the fee more slowly.
  8. I remember Strachan saying something like he was surprised referees didn't simply book Lundekvam for time-wasting every time he went up for a corner.😂
  9. Well I'm really upset to see him go. Don't blame him going back into thr premier league, but had hoped he'd be a one-club player, having watched him develop from a youngster. He's a cracking player ---- box to box runner, amazing fitness and of course one of the very best set piece experts, and crosser. Fee seems a little low too given his line contract. Should have been 40 million.
  10. Doesn't sound good. He has the potential to be another Mane IMO. Wouldn't want to lose him now. But if it's a one year loan so he can prove himself in the Premier league, then come back tovus after we're promoted........
  11. That's really poor supporter service. Hope you find somewhere else to park for this season.
  12. Cemex, which as you say seems to be the last saints operated car park, apart from those actually at the ground. Suspect the club started with the parking they had originally as part of the planning permission negotiation , and are gradually letting it die out. No one else on here parking at Cemex then?
  13. I've had an email confirming that I've paid to park again this season, but not received a ticket. Anyone else getting a season parking pass - and if so have you actually received anything?
  14. It shows how crap football reporting is. I've seen one report saying West Ham giving up on JWP and another saying they're bidding again -- posted 1 and 2 hours ago, literally next to each other in clickbait.
  15. £45 million including bonus doesn't sound like very much of an increase in Liverpool's offer. Would depend on the conditions for the extra payments. If it's "world cup winner" that's a lot different to "plays 30+ games in a season". Wonder what chelsea might offer.
  16. It's a plot by the good clubs who can play the tactic well, to make it fashionable for all clubs, so they get a few easy goals when we cock it up.
  17. Snap. Thanks for the facebook nudge St Neil
  18. Don't know about JWP's wages but mostly the figures quoted in the media for footballers are AFTER tax. Foreign players especially, don't want to bother about British tax law details etc, so the clubs' contracts include them paying taxes for them--- or in Portsmouth's case not paying them ! So the obscene amounts quoted for wages are *really* obscene.
  19. No wonder he gets injured if he leaves his laces like that 😉
  20. Thought Walcott was just training with Reading whilst he waited for a proper club offer. But if he is actually prepared to sign for a skint club which presumably will only pay relative peanuts, why shouldn't we give him another year at a few quid more than peanuts but a lot less than he was getting before? He looked OK for us in the latter part of last season, and is reportedly a good influence on younger players.
  21. He's a better player than Hojberg and he was good enough for spurs. They're not even a really top club Don't understand the constant running down of JWP on here.
  22. Like buying a saints season ticket? 😉
  23. Common sense says that it is a 20% sell on OR a £ 40 million buy back. If the 20% applied to the 40 million , why call it 40? It would be 32
  24. You see, that was completely believable till you got to the bit about Land Rover Discoveries. Full fat Range Rovers or Land Rover Defenders maybe, high end Porsches more likely. These pillocks have been earning an average of around £3million a year in the Premier league!
  25. Nore the "really" If it's just about compensation, surely we go ahead then let the lawyers argue about it afterwards?
