http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/11068265/Calais-police-stop-400-migrants-over-weekend-as-numbers-trying-to-reach-UK-hit-3000-per-month.html Its an old article, though I did caveat 'For now that is'. Torygraph too, bigot! Pipe down you silly old duffer

Cherbourg, Brittany, Dieppe, Le Harve, Dunkirk, all are experiencing the same trouble, albeit not on the scale of Calais. For now that is. Be careful travelling during the end of the school/summer breaks due to the inevitable bottle necks queuing to get on the ferries, if you take a caravan/motor-home prepare to be pirated by an armed man!

Not personally, though the ITV 10pm news footage last night was horrific, one bloke interviewed in the traffic pointed out that they are all fit and able young men who are coming to the UK to abuse the system, they're not asylum seekers at all. Lorry callers calling into the Jeremy Vine show on Radio 2 earlier spoke of the experience, these people throwing bricks at their windscreens, pushing shopping trolleys etc in front of the trucks, carrying knives, metal bars and other tools designed to fight or break into/tear open the lorries. Car passengers returning from holidays called in to say they were extremely intimidated and frightened, with people clinging to their cars and trying to chase them down. As this problem is only set to escalate I believe we need to get the army involved, the French don't care so we need to take control. The liberal brigade will set you straight, however they're preaching from the safety of a nice middle class/gentrified area which will not be affected! Of course these freedom fighters are in fact NIMBYs, and will not be the ones fixing the inevitable fallout. Happy to be proved wrong and see them welcome these people into their homes, feed them and provide cash from their bank accounts, though I doubt it.

It was essentially an international money laundering syndicate fulled by gangsters chasing large debts. I guess it would have been pretty embarrassing for the football authorities to be exposed as providing the vehicle to extract large amounts of clean cash whilst abusing the UKs insolvency laws to the extreme, costing local businesses and the taxman fortunes. I suspect a lot of it goes on, though pompey got in way too deep and not just once!

Good question. Although with a large coastline to cover it must be difficult. Are the EU states allowed to simply send troops in the sort this out? I doubt the countries hosting the dispatching and trafficing service are doing much if anything at all. Also, the traffickers cover/bury their vessels in sand on the beaches so they are very difficult to identify. As long as everyone is happy to personally house and feed the flood of people then it is ok, otherwise its going to be a NIMBY crisis.

As long as everybody is willing to open the doors to their own homes and welcome them in, give them a bedroom and a seat at the dinner table, share the cash in their bank accounts then there is no hypocrisy at all! They should be health checked and repatriated IMO, they are deserting their own countries which will cause greater harm to said countries in the future. I am aware that is a harsh stance, but with the brutal austerity Eurpoe faces in the coming years.........

Caught the South Today, very funny, classic skates. We could buy some off them at 4% of 2% but we already have our JPT supply. They'll have to front 3000 litres of gold paint now... LOL [MGI]http://i.volckmann.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/P_Emirate01.jpg[/img]

Welcome to the Tory government! They have had this going for a few years now, no FOC tribunals anymore either!

Interesting idea, I like it.

Pap Batman Window Cleaner Rallyboy Bearsy Not for like in any way, but either very interesting or very amusing. Well done to you all.

pennys wardrobe flop, along with backing an international money laundering syndicate (with the help of her tax man old man), has been rather lucrative. In a way, you have to commend her strategy, she may even have shares in the spurs fans property developing gig. I doubt she will be at fortress fatpipes at all next season.

Calling All Employment Law or HR "Experts"

'arrys dog rosie is bulletproof in these situations Challenge them for the proof. By all means do the whole 'this conversation is being recorded', but that may force them to go all in which would be nasty. Find a mistake in their own procedure(s), it always happens somewhere. Get a clean resignation and a decent payout, it will be costly taking a big firm to court (various legislation changes, employees now struggle to go 'no win, no fee' go tories...) and it could go either way whilst costing a few grand in the process. Then move on, as Nigel used to say 'draw an orange & black line under it'. If its on a point of principle, go for it! -
Probably because they were unsettled by the skates exercising their divine right to cherry pick their manager, just as he was leading his team into the playoffs FFS!

Having played this game with many friends and colleagues over the last few days: http://ig.ft.com/sites/2014/deficit-calculator/ I come to the conclusion that there really is no answer. Click every button and you're not that far ahead of the recommended level of the advisory watchdog. None of us could stretch beyond £30bn without going back. The next few years are going to be brutal for many people. The decades beyond will be game changing. Good luck to you all.

Thanks MLG, I was won when that would come to conclusion. "half a billion went through the club", they said as they poured tea to a #factless amateur gushing at the sight of a flat screen tv. PMSL I assume the will do good by the charities which were robbed blind by the skates: http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/local/cancer-charities-owed-thousands-by-pompey-1-1250061
