  1. Read this article from Gary Neville last year. Interesting points in it about how to get the best out of players both on and off the pitch in the final third of their career. I think SRL will get less game time this year, how he reacts to that will determine whether we get better performances as a result. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2106465/Gary-Neville-Ryan-Giggs-Paul-Scholes-way-age.html
  2. DSM - Dell Sized Mentality
  3. That has made my night.
  4. We have no chance.
  5. Agree with all of that. I would also add that Osvaldo brings a new dimension to our attack when he runs at defences. Not convinced that we can accommodate both him and SRL during the whole game, but it's great to have options up front.
  6. Not sure. Guess this thread is hypothetical now
  7. Really interesting debate. The 'Y-Word' will likely follow the same path as the 'N-Word', it will be adopted by a group as a defence mechanism or an identity to shock as required. Search for the Richard Pryor live show on i-player for evidence. In a much more minor way I often introduce myself as a Pommie or Soutie when I am in South Africa, I get it in before I get any stick from the Dutchmen (excuse the racist term) My personal standpoint is that I wouldn't call a Jew or a Spurs fan a Yid, what they choose to call themselves - I couldn't give a ****.
  8. Let's discuss on build up thread
  9. Assuming no injuries Boruc Clyne Fonte Lovren Shaw Wanyama Schneiderlin JRod Gaston Lallana Lambert subs Davis, Chambers, Yoshida, Cork, S Davis, JWP, Osvaldo i think Ramirez fits our pressing game better at 10 than Lambert and I'd go for Rickie to start. Jrod for all his knockers on here offers us something different in the way he runs at defences.
  10. I live in Reading, and couldn't agree more.
  11. Closing this for now and reviewing whether the OP is actually Tommy Forecast.
  12. Your timing is as impeccable as it is predictable.
  13. Collins should have scored.
  14. I can take playing badly, I couldn't take losing against the shower we are playing against.
  15. Another floaty Lallana corner *sigh*
  16. Great save, Osvaldo should have scored though.
  17. Luke Shaw looking like an 18 year old left back there.
  18. The ball looks like a bar of soap when we have it.
  19. Try a guy called a Rob Woolley 07876135702
  20. I thought he did well first half but faded along with the rest of the side in the second. He plays against international class defences in the Prem every week, but never with a bunch of strangers who don't get up to support him. Realistically he is behind Rooney and Sturridge (Wellbeck wide left) in Woy's plans but I think he will be involved squadwise in the next two qualifiers. I actually think he is well suited as an impact sub, lucky as I can't realistically see him being used as anything more when the others are back.
  21. you appear to have a bit of a delay.
  22. Ouch.
  23. I always liked Sharp, had a very handy habit of being in the right place at the right time. Big contributor to promotion, scored a brace against the Skates and didn't really get a chance last year despite having a very good pre-season.
  24. Online £40 http://www.discountfootballkits.com/adidas-Tiro-13-University-Red-Black-Pes-Suit Add a badge and it is £75 from the Saints shop. Don't mind spending money on bespoke Saints gear, but this is just taking the ****.
