The game wasn't lost tonight on the pitch, as many had flagged it was lost when we decided who would make the trip. Whilst we appear to have a very strong XI and 3-4 ample replacements we haven't got anywhere near the 2nd or 3rd team that the top 6 can boast. I think long-term injuries to Boruc, Lovren or Shaw and we are deep in the brown stuff - but again nothing new. If we had put out a full strength team tonight and lost against Hull on Saturday I can just imagine the meltdown on here.

I think the great thing about our current side is that we seem to have a team full of leaders.

Bit harsh giving Boruc 6. He takes the pressure off by being always available for a pass back. Catches corners and distribution was good. Also I'd question Lambert scoring so high, thought he faded second half.

I fear that Wycombe's goal will be reduced to 0.2 then 0.04. The Skates would then receive clearance to sign a load of Premiership loan players and international players without the requisite clearance.

Osvaldo has a pedigree of success. Not uncommon for strikers to take time to bed in after playing in Serie A, I give you Denis Bergkamp as evidence. Didn't see the game today but have seen most of the others. His movement is good and he is an intelligent player, that much is clear. I've been disappointed with his first touch and poise, hoping that will improve as he gets more confident.
