  1. A significant news day for our rivals. They even made it to our main board. Given there is a lot of duplication on the Pompey Takeover Saga thread no point in merging the two. However for future updates and general LOL at the Blue few please see here. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?14620-Pompey-Takeover-Saga/page900
  2. Cue doom merchants moaning that we should have loaned 2 midfielders before window shut
  3. Hope we can keep this run going and end up 8 points clear of West Ham come 5 o'clock.
  4. Celtic currently have 4 centre backs out according to this article which SSN referenced. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/mobile/sport/victor-wanyama-ready-to-plug-gaps-for-celtic-1.1136003
  5. Circa 1% according to our Head of Treasury
  6. All the time they are on their site, they are not on here. Clouds and Silver Linings.
  7. Anyone heard Appleton's post-match yet. Is he going to admit defeat graciously or follow the well trodden path of claiming the skates battered (pun intended) Watford 0-2?
  8. Get in! Sent from my HTC Wildfire S A510e using Tapatalk
  9. I think Huddersfield have become the new Southend.
  10. Anyone else think looks freakily like this fella out of Sin City?
  11. This has made my evening. The whole CSI thing sounds so much like that bent $20m cricket mad Ponzi fiend, yet it turns out the bank (the rock that the few clung to) that has crumbled. A little sports venture company will stand no chance when the authorities come down the chain looking for money. Hope for Lampitt's sake he parted on good terms with Chanrai.
  12. The subject of the blue few is being covered ad nauseum in 'The Lounge'
  13. After wading through the tosh on this thread, I can summise. Cortese still has ambition for the club - good thing Jos Hooiveld will sign - good thing Expanding capacity - not sure we have the underlying fan base just yet Passing Stats vs Barca - MLG will be desperately checking out Poyet - Interesting, think NA better choice. Unresolved - Ticket Tax & Pardewgate
  14. Appears this one has gone slightly off-topic.
  15. As others have noted, if Peter Storrie has fessed up everyone else to save his own arse he will have no worries about dropping the club in it. Up until this point it was widely perceived that they could only face sanctions based on his actions. With full immunity being provided and a prosecution prepped and supported by the HMRC there may be some interesting nuggets to drop out of this, and potentially other cases that may follow. I am not sure whether a 10 pointer this year will have any effect on them, I just hope they get seen by the general football public as the low-rent chancers that they are as opposed to the media's 'plucky Pompey' tag.
  16. I thought he was ok for us, but lacked the fight we really needed in the relegation season, hence his limited opportunities under Redknapp. I know we offered him an extension to his contract but he wanted to return to Sweeden even if we had stayed up. As someone above noted he was very very good against Spurs in the 4-0 game which I still mark down as the best team performance I have seen from a Saints side.
  17. Seems a long time to update a bit of paperwork, don't forget they would have had all this in order to satisfy FL. Chanrai was (and possibly still is) a secured creditor - why would he give that up until he was paid out in full?
  18. Fancy giving away 2000 tickets to the Armed Forces, those guys have surely been through enough,
  19. The true gem in The People article is that apparently the deal for SOD broke down after he saw them play, PMSL. Obviously reckoned £2k a week and no win bonuses wasn't a great deal.
  20. Centre Back (Jos) and pacey striker. That said if Seaborne or Jaidi are not likely to play this season then we would be mad not to invest in another top-class centre back for cover / competition.
  21. Delighted to say I was wrong about Coventry!
  22. He actually looks like the offspring of the current owners.
  23. Based on this the Forrest support would have taken 1400 off of their 14.2k attendance today. Even with Clotterill cast as the pantomime villan they couldn't attract a half decent crowd. Still, they'll pack out their new stadium - massive club.
  24. Merrington says "game over"
