I like Murty. He is a good old-fashioned pro, looked good in the few games he played for us and is always very positive about our club. I remember whe he captained Reading to their Championship win, The victory parade went through Reading town-centre on a Sunday. I happened to be in our office there at the time. The office was on the first floor, so at eye level to the open-top bus. I was watching as they went my, Murty caught my eye and gestured for me to smile, I mouthed back " Saints fan mate" he laughed and pointed it out to the rest of the Reading team much to their amusement. A decent lad, having a laugh IMHO. The point is, he had some great times there and spent most of his career with them, bit harsh for anyone to have it in for him for having a soft spot for them.
