  1. Fair point well made, nonetheless in his first game at Premier League level, against one of the better regarded defenses in the league, not terrible.
  2. Or faith in Lloyd Isgrove.
  3. Does seem to make a little bit of a mockery of the Kilmarnock (I think it was) manager who said words to the effect of 'we didn't bother marking Wanyama as he would just give the ball back to us.'
  4. I see your point, the completion rate would be telling, however the indication that we were quite content to attempt these kind of cross field balls more then any either team in the league is a surprise.
  5. Taken from F365. The long ball stat surprised me greatly. Fantastic showing for Ward-Prowse though.
  6. Was quite enjoying my namesake in the car this morning, vastly prefer his slightly offbeat show compared to the 'Keys and Grey old boy's love in' predecessor. As for Adrian Durham, yes.... he is dire. Just mentioned that he will be on around about half past.
  7. True, although we did do so with a shred of realism as far as I remember (the evidence will be in this very thread somewhere.) I somehow wouldn't expect that from them.
  8. On Hawksbee and Jacobs, will be discussing our transfer activity and his new team-mates.
  9. Shrewd!!! More fool on Arsenal's part.
  10. Fair comments.... It's a tricky business this, just cause for so many players to be in there. Good times!
  11. It would be a thing of true beauty. The few would be building it up so much the poor things!
  12. Don't say that! We are not standing in the same location.... there is some 17 miles difference.
  13. I cannot see the logic in how our weak link could possibly be someone who isn't currently getting into the team regularly? On that basis how about Danny Fox, Lee Barnard? The only weak link for me would be Danny Fox who is deficient in some quite important ways when it comes to our tactical approach. If Ramirez plays it's not at the expense of something fundamental to our side, when Fox plays he needs carrying by the man playing in front of him, effecting our attacking potential down the left flank.
  14. The degree of transformation in our respective fortunes just never fails to raise a smile!! Such a shame we will not be playing each other for a generation.
  15. Just shows, never mistake calm for inactivity.
  16. --------------- Osvaldo ----------------- Lallana ------- Lambert -------- Rodriguez ------- Wanyama -- Schneiderlin--------- Shaw --- Lovren ----- Yoshida ---- Clyne ---------------- Boruc ----------------- Bench: Gazzaniga, Chambers, Fonte, Cork, Puncheon, Mayuka, Ramirez
  17. Pretty much. Yoshida would still be my first choice to start with Lovren, just hope he doesn't replicate his international form alongside him though! His extra mobility, vision and reading of the game was part of the reason we looked so much better after our shaky start, just under no circumstance put him at full back.
  18. Pope: Johnny, I had no idea your talents were so versatile!! Pablo: Yes [chuckles] - I get that a lot.
  19. As said previously, it's right to ask the question. Personally though I am not too concerned currently. I would trust that the powers that be would not be leading us into potential ruin, there seems to be a possible get out of jail plan should the funding be pulled in the form of the recoup-able transfer fees. Although if the sh*t really did hit the fan it would then become a buyers market as the vultures circle.
  20. Goodbye Monk, and thanks for the clues.
  21. Bloody tease. Thanks for the info as always.
  22. That'll do Monk, that'll do. Until next time, don't retire.
  23. Ah, what's 250,000 euros between forum acquaintances?
