It is. Dad tried to vet another ticket last week with no success.

Actually I did. Especially as he is not the only player to have had a challenging season. Why pick him out ahead of a Danny Fox or Kelvin Davis. Even Lallana and Rickie make daft errors. Just as defenders all slips become magnified.

Saint Charlie threads are always very strange.

Hi mate, All the best to you, happy to oblige. Q1. What are your opinions on Southampton's season so far - has it gone how you expected? It has surpassed all expectations. I was anticipating a long hard slog of a season and that was exactly how it began. Thankfully though, the club and team has learned from it's errors and we have somehow blossomed into the competitive entertaining side that we now get to watch week in week out. To be essentially safe with four games to go is dreamland. Q2. What are your opinion on WBA's season so far? - Have we exceeded your expectations? I was dubious as to whether Steve Clark could step up from being a perennial no 2. to being the main man at a club. He has so far proven me totally wrong. A mid-table finish is the least you guys deserve after an excellent start (which included given us an absolute lesson at your place.) Q3. You made a controversial change not so long ago. What are your thoughts on MP and what difference has he made to your side? The change is still a sore point, I will always be grateful for Nigel's work here. He was treated disgracefully. Pochettino has however made us more dynamic and his pressing tactics in midfeild have made us more competitive and compelling to watch. The change he has made is in some ways subtle (same basic formations as used by Nigel) but with more emphasis on pressing and harassing the opposition. It's really entertaining and encouraging when it works. Q4. What are your opinions on West Bromwich Albion Football Club and its supporters? Always had a lot of time for the Baggies. You seem to be a very passionate yet grounded club who make the most of what they have. As a resident in Coventry I always look forward to the away day, it's nearby and freindly. Q5. Peter Odemwingie became a laughing stock during the transfer window. What did you make of his antics and how our club dealt with it? He was seemingly led up the garden path by his agent and has rightly been shown to be naive. He will need to learn from it but it seems he hasn't the humility/self awareness to do so. Q6. The game at The Hawthorns finished 2-0. What were your opinions on this game? We didn't show up. Our performance was muted, we deserved nothing that day. I feared that Nigel Adkins would have been receiving his P45 afterwards. Q7. Which players should we be wary of in your side and who do you fear in our side? Now, we don't want to give too much away..... While Rickie Lambert is a key player, our real strength lays in our central midfield, Jack Cork and Morgan Schneiderlin will be looking to dominate the game and break up any attacks before they can form while also creating a foundation for our forward line. The battle between our central midfield and your also effective midfielders, Claudio Yacob for one, will be fascinating. Q8. What side is MP most likely to choose for Saturday's encounter? I would expect something along these lines: ---------------- Lambert ----------------- Lallana --------- Ramirez ------- Rodriguez ---------Cork ---------- Schneiderlin ---- Shaw ----- Yoshida ---- Hooiveld --- Clyne ----------------- Boruc ------------------ Q9. And finally, score predictions. With the season winding down and us looking to avoid trouble in order to stay high in the fair play league (and a chance at Europe next year...) an entertaining 1-1 draw.

It would depend on who is willing to buy.

A mixture of many things already mentioned. The emergence of Luke Shaw and Artur Boruc plugged the two major weakspots in the team. Jack Cork's return solidified the midfield and the pressing style Pochettino employs has extracted the absolute best out of our players. Piece by piece we have improved in every respect since the start of the year.

I would go even further back and say Huddersfield at home. 28th December 2010. We were 1-0 down and being given a bit of a lesson by a very confident Huddersfield side. We had conceeded early, Lee Novak heading one in on 15 minutes, but the real moment came when Scott Arfield missed a sitter shortly afterwards. From then on we went rampant. Goals from Lambert and Chamberlain on 28 and 32 minutes gave us the lead. With the game turned on it's head we controlled the second half and thanks to goals from Jaidi and Chaplow we prevailed as 4-1 victors. The win took us into the top 6 for the first time that year and started us on a 12 month run of being unbeaten at home in the league. That was the moment for me when our momentum took a devestatingly upward turn.

Players who impressed you in the lower leagues who haven't progressed.

Maguire I think. That was a stunning hit..... It was. Just saying. -
From Europe to Obscurity. The Skate demise chronicles.
-
To be fair to Danny Fox, he's no Olivier Bernard.
-
Alan Shearer: "Vorm just drops it."
-
Language is about understanding. And it is on that basis that I think we should give Poch all the time in the world to get comfortable with English. Lets not repeat the mistakes of the past.
-
Bitter at missing out on the gig.... I don't hold it against him.
-
Don't forget Poortvliet... He really did talk some utter ****.
-
Trolling is as trolling does. You are never right, just accept it, grab a cold one and breathe.
-
It is possible, but I still don't think we should be too greedy. Our mission this season has been accomplished.
-
He can already speak reasonable english. It's all a media facade.
-
A 0.1% chance of relegation. One in a thousand. We are safe.
-
Surfaced to show his ignorance about all things Saints in a thread about Esteban Granero a few days ago. He's probably loitering somewhere.
-
Because the football league are an inconsistently managed old boy's club.
-
That has done it, the 1-1 draw sees the Cherries up. Looking forward to that fixture against Leeds United already!
-
Taken from the BBC match report from today. There's no way of dressing it up. He has utterly failed as QPR manager.

Vergard Forren; do the club need to explain to the fans
Colinjb replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
Absolutely not. His agent has already spoken out anyway. There is a plan and his lack of action is not a surprise. -
He is a great escape artist. Escaping from situations that do not suit him anyway....
