  1. How could we get this far without....
  2. Hairy arms and a little slip of nip. Every man's dream.
  3. Well, by your logic I have a 50% criteria hit with Jane Seymour. I wouldn't mind taking that.
  4. Old, minging, dead. Three criteria. (Old and Dead are not mutually exclusive, you could have died young.)
  5. For me, too old and a little on the minging side now. Therefore fits two of the three criteria.
  6. Barry Sanchez, bpsaint, Dublin Saint, for_heaven's_Saint, Lambert1979, LGTL, Mowgli, Shalmaneser, Si the Saint, VectisSaint This page has had 6,518 visits 6518!?!
  7. He made a good mid season impact with an already premier league standard squad, but I think I see what you're getting at. He wouldn't have the right building blocks to have the same impact now.
  8. Completely agree. His style of fitness and organisation worked for us ten years ago, but now with the squad we have? No. It would be a poor fit.
  9. David Prutton?
  10. Certainly around the midlands they don't. Aston Villa, Coventry City and Leicester took on a few youngsters from the John Bryan League I coached in around Coventry and as soon as they were snapped up they couldn't play for their original clubs any more, the Birmingham FA and other local associations transferred the registrations to the pro clubs.
  11. A necessary article in my opinion. It is a very effective summary of why he may not be us popular as would be expected for people outside of the club/fans of other clubs. My Coventry/Villa/Forest/Leicester/Plastic supporting co-workers and friends in the midlands are utterly bemused as to why some people wouldn't want him in charge considering the rapid progress the club has made and the investment his relationship with Markus Liebherr produced. My comments about what has happened before have general brought responses of "So-what? look at the league table!" A lot of it is still conjecture, but it's totally clear that Cortese has put a few noses out of joint, not that he should or probably does care. Not all managing directors are personable, it's whether they are successful that matters and for me he has been, 4th year in and we've hit our first sticky patch.... that's life!
  12. There's some stiff competition in there! My vote added, best of luck.
  13. Such a wonderful living ideal, you must have been to Coventry quite recently, no?
  14. Sorry mate, but that's not what I said. This isn't a black and white issue, there are positives and negatives to both courses of action. I respect and understand your position in wanting to try him out though and for what it's worth I would like to see him play too.
  15. Yes, highly patronising and extremely rude.
  16. You are such a patronising rude individual.
  17. I'm honestly not sure (I only knew the 25% thing because his dead balls supplied Fonte in the Fulham game), but as with all these things there are pro's and cons to all the decisions made. Fox may be a limited player but he is our set piece taker, if he wasn't the decision to drop him would be a great deal easier. I want to see Shaw play, but there are negatives. Remembering that horrible 08/09 season; I don't want to see a promising career killed off before it's begun by being fast tracked into a car crash.
  18. Of course he could do worse, even world class players have off days, and this is a 17 year old academy lad. He's no doubt got potential but Fox isn't an idiot, he's just out of his depth in a formation in which the full backs are horribly exposed. Asking a fresh face to be able to both adequately defend against a team that like us try to play on the floor and also provide a threat on the overlap is a massive ask. And, while Fox may be limited, his dead ball delivery is directly responsible for 25% of all the points we have scored this season. Without him our set pieces are toothless.
  19. In discussing the screen... That particular aspect as was made utterly clear can be completely outstripped by the Kindle Fire HD. A device that costs a mere £159. The iPad mini costs up to £539. (For the fully pimped out 3G and wifi edition.) So if anything, it's as much as a quarter of the price for something that has a superior screen. And yes, the Kindle Fire is excellent. As is the iPad Mini. I have used and tried both. Listen, you are obviously at best an unaware parody and at worst a complete troll. I know you are either stirring or trolling for your own amusement. Lets leave it there.
  20. Oh, nothing new, but an extra £39 pounds for a component equating to an extra £160 price. When it's put into those terms it makes you wonder.
  21. Tablet computer vs Tablet computer..... Four legged large mammal vs a fruit. I've never said that these are bad devices, they are far from it, I respect what they can do. But your blind loyalty and frankly disrespect for other's opinions is laughable and more then a little insulting.
  22. Interesting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2228103/The-REAL-cost-269-iPad-mini--117-according-online-site-ripped-apart.html Astonished at the profit margins made on the higher specified models. Very interesting that Samsung supply the screens.
