  1. It's so obviously not a level playing field. How dare the opposition resist, don't they know who they are?
  2. You think?
  3. As good as 8 points adrift as things stand.
  4. Ok, think about this..... Saints withdraw from the Premier League with 28 games left to play. - TV Broadcasters from around the world take legal action over a breach of their contracted terms - Sponsors revoke money and income from Saints for breach of contract - Fans demand refunds on season ticket money. - No match day income and no more premiership money comes in. We cannot pay our wages, our staff. Withdrawl from the Premier League would mean Saints going out of business. You cannot separate the two, it is not an option.
  5. Then, with respect, why share your opinion on a public forum? For what it's worth I do feel it's a shame that Hammond, Harding and Sharp have been loaned out/let go, but having seen them play last season (and Hamster for longer) I truly do not feel they could offer any more then our current players. Many of our existing players that have been more consistent performers previously are now struggling. Sometimes it is possible to get promoted beyond your ability, the premier league is a level beyond the players mentioned. Harsh, but that's what ambition can do.
  6. That guy on 5 minutes really flies!!
  7. Is that what they are calling it now? Dirty girl.
  8. Agreed. He has great spirit and was obviously a good captain but his technical ability simply isn't there.
  9. Outstanding.
  10. No need to think about it, the evidence is overwhelming.
  11. I mean this kindly Saint Charlie, how old are you?
  12. We would also go 9 months without income and cause the Premier League to break many tv contracts. It would kill the club.
  13. Certainly prefer that to my Ian Holloway idea!
  14. A different state of play to earlier on that basis....
  15. Nigel Adkins in his car: Is there anything you can tell us, are you still the Southampton manager? "I can't wait to still be the Southampton manager, I love being the Southampton manager, I said that last night." Will you be in charge on Saturday? "I hope so." Still smiling, but rambling. Looked uneasy.
  16. Well, this site is ready to go should the worst happen. I'm hoping that my effort will be wasted.
  17. It's the wait...... so tense. I think we all know what's coming... and so many of us hoping it won't

  19. Curious choice of words. 'Belonging in the premier league.' No-one belongs in the Premier League, you have to earn the right to be in it. Last year we did. If we make a hash of this chance then we fight for the right to have another go, and another go.
  20. Now! Thats another topic entirely! haha
  21. Not nearly enough managerial experience.
  22. No, i'm agreeing with you that Les Reed is the wrong man for the job. Therefore Cortese made a wrong call appointing him. Showing that he still has something to learn when it comes to running a football club. And utterly proving that his inexperience is an issue. You undermined your own point. And believing that a CEO of a football club should have nothing to do with football matters, you would hope they had a least a basic understanding!
  23. That was utterly epic!
  24. You have claimed that an excuse that the CEO is learning his trade in the job as being rubbish. He has appointed an advisor to help him therefore the point is moot, yes? Then you undermine that by showing how poor a choice he may be for that role. Nicola Cortese's poor choice of advisor could well be part of his learning. It is obvious he is not getting everything right, therefore he still has much to learn. And his need to grow into the role is hindering us in some ways in the short term. It is without question a factor and far from your original eloquent suggestion of 'boll*cks.'
  25. He has a point though. There are posters on here who would moan regardless of what was happening!
