Amazing that the last time this Kimiko Date-Krumm got to the Second Round of Wimbledon was 1994. Remarkable she's back in after retiring in 1996.

Ulrich van Gobbel? Ken Monkou? -
Relax, if it's Carling (and therefore Molson Coors) who have won the business it'll be Worthingtons. Enjoy!!

So, reading between the lines. D*ck.

West Ham or Us, right now, who would you back to get back to the Premiership first? Premier League offers notwithstanding, surely a 'whole package' would be considered. Swansea on 15K, West Ham on 20k and us on 15k could still leave West 'Am as a prefered option.

Sadly, like FIFA the whole thing may be too self interested to want to change. Don't bid for a world cup unless you have budgeted for greasing many palms, and don't bid for a player unless you lubricate the agent, after all, he will return the favour. Or is this too cynical?

Apart from 3 years ago.... when he did.... briefly.

A fear i've had is this: In league 1 we were one of the biggest fish. In this league we are now an upstart. Many other clubs will be attractive to players over us. (Promoted League 1 side, ambitious, but then so are Cardiff, Leicester, Forest, West 'Am etc) We want to attract players that can 'step up' with our ambition......... so do they..... and they probably are not adverse to playing the status quo for their gain. Is taking a stand against these things counter productive? It could be noble, but also the equivalent of shooting ourselves in the foot. Of course this assumes we are being difficult, it could just be one tw*t agent spreading muck.

About as much as I would trust the guy who sold me my first car.

Not at all, it just means we're all in the wrong trade!

Unsurprisingly, everything went quiet with him when he went to the U21's. Not surprising that it could reach a conclusion now he's on his way back. Que Sera Sera.

Twitter, and any text only medium is a very very blunt tool. We don't know this guy's motivations, we do not know if he has dealt with us before. Christ, imagine if he's Elliott Ward's agent! These things will always require a pinch of salt, not that I care much for agents anyway.

Those vultures will deal with us when they serve to gain something from it. In the mean time, f**k 'em.

I think it was against Everton, the year we went down. Throw in from the Itchen/Northam corner, found Crouchy at the near-post and goal.
-
Oh well. Right, who will be the next diversion I wonder? I'll start by putting 5p on it being Darren Ambrose.
-
You'll have to explain that one to me....

I love a pint of good IPA. Wye valley brewery do a drop called HPA (Herefordshire Pale Ale,) it's nectar. Every effort I have seen to mass serve proper ale has left it tasting awful though, so I would prefer to see a good lager at SMS. Carling is not a good lager.

It's a fair point. We apparently have bought in players who are capable of making the step up as the club progressed. Well, we've made one step up, surely it would be a little remiss not to give them a chance now we're here.

Nope, 'just' 4 million. Don't know what would be more more embarrassing. Having him as our record transfer or the prospect of spending that much on him!!!

You are correct mate. Appologies it's taken so long to respond. -
Posh Owner says Saints' Mackail-Smith bid "Worst he's ever seen"
Colinjb replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
The point has already been made though that if you have money, or expected to get a lot of it very soon, the Market rate will be different. As it happened we didn't need to sign CMS to be strong enough to go up, therefore it could be argued Cortese handled the situation bang on. -
Posh Owner says Saints' Mackail-Smith bid "Worst he's ever seen"

The worst offer he'd ever seen? £750,000 for a leading player in league 1 is not unreasonable. The money we paid for Rickie Lambert was stellar at the time for the level and the bids here are comparable due to the similar stature of both Bristol Rovers and The Posh. Of course Peterborough have some money behind them now but as a test of resolve, bidding £750 k was absolutely worth doing. -

What prize did Bobby Stokes win, that he couldn't take full advantage of, in 1976? -

That wouldn't be Steve Moran, would it? -
Chill mate, you will not be able to please everyone but will be able to create something which will please and be loved by most. Your efforts in getting this going have been remarkable, that we are quibbling over the design details rathe then panicking where the funds are coming from is testament to that. Keep the faith mate.
