  1. I would say absolute 'Yay' to walking out to the Skid's version of 'The Saints are Coming.' It just feels right to me. Especially after we belted it out at Wembley, the Carlisle fans had never known anything like it.
  2. Surely the only thing we are missing out on is steady cash flow. The longer the wait for the shirt the more it is anticipated and the more we will likely sell at one time (it's launch.) That we don't seem to care at the moment about getting money into the club between May and the mid July is either foolish (unlikely, NC is not an idiot, despite the theories/rantings of a few) or that we don't need to live hand to mouth, like the Skates, with our finances. Certainly, the lack of urgency to release season tickets or new merchandise would for me indicate the later option.
  3. It can only be Nigel Quashie, surely.
  4. Which two premiership teams did Saints tie for points with in 1982/83. The point will go to whoever mentions both at the same time.
  5. Although having said that and using the usual yardstick for strikers, Nugent scored 14 league goals in all competitions. Sharp scored 15 in the league alone. As far as bang for buck is concerned your Skate logic is evident.
  6. Sounds quite similar to the old James Whale show on Talksport. That kept me going back when I did all night work sessions at Uni. They came up with a few interesting topics along those lines.
  7. Christ, when a skate says that you know you have to sit up and take notice!!!!!
  8. Relax, Dad just txt me, he's in the Eclipse nursing a pint of Ringwood and reading a copy of 'In That Number.'
  9. Or it reflects that the club feel we need a bit of pace up front.
  10. Heeeeeeeere Billy..billy..billy....... Which forum is this? I've just checked one and the only Billy Sharpe thread is a 'congratulations' to the chairman for rejecting a 2.8 mill bid for him from us.
  11. And yet they didn't do everyone a favour and take on R*dknapp.
  12. Really, really no.
  13. Yeah, try doing that without filming the incident. Oh, wait, they need to give permission for film to be submitted as evidence don't they......
  14. I may be 'lay' in this respect, but I feel there is the need to define 'intent' in these things. Or at least specify the black/white boundary in matters such as these. Burglary is a massive problem in society, people want to defend their family, themselves and their property. What can they do!? The law needs to spell it out for us simpletons! Can I stab them in the back or shoot them in the face? ;)
  15. Ah the Moose. He really is a bit of an idiot. Blinkered as some on the Skates forums.
  16. In comparison to other clubs, yes. In comparison to my mortgage and other responsibilities it's a massive drain. I have already accepted that I cannot afford to see us when we get there, I can barely justify it as it is.
  17. I am a strong believer in self defense of home and property being justified. I would take this as far as manslaughter. Intentional detaining, torture or homocide of an intruder is too far though but you should have the right to fight the f**ker off.
  18. I agree. Feel totally sorry for those people who were trying to defend their property. No doubt the law will come down on the side of the intentional criminal though.
  19. Strange man, seemed to be be a real snake when he destabilised and pushed out portvliet yet he was an absolute rock while we went into and emerged from administration. Either way, good luck to him, he'll need it up there! Who was the other Dutchman linked with the management job here the first time Wotte was linked with us, before Burley?
  20. Oh god, I remember that day well. Drove up in yes, the worst weather. Florent Sinama Pongolle scored the only goal I believe.
  21. Yes, the petrol models are just starting to get to that price. You would have to shop around, but they are there.
  22. Fleece
