  1. My housemate has a 2002 Hyundai Amica. It is riddled with scratches, minor dents and has otherwise been slightly battered in it's life. An hour or two with general paint wash, clay bar, autoglym polish and some bumper/plastics restorer have left it looking superb. The scratches are still there if you want to look for them, so it's not kidding anyone, but it looks like it's looked after and cared about. That can make all the difference.
  2. I suspect it'll work the other way. More of a fear that the state has 'abandoned' them and no longer willing to prop them up regardless for some. Some friends of mine are terrified of what'll happen if they lose their jobs in the near future as for unmarried childless couples/singles there seems to be very little help available if you really do need it.
  3. So far so good. They really have their work cut out stopping the nation heamorraging £14k every second but the foundations are now in place. Also delighted that some of the more Orwellian aspects of the champagne socialist regime such as ID cards and speed camera funding have been removed from the agenda.
  4. I was born in 1984, so sadly the cup win was not within my lifetime. The 6-3. Just saw the scores coming in on Grandstand. Was overjoyed! When news of Markus' death broke I was just driving back into Cov after a day's work. It was announced on Talksport at about 6.30. I'm not ashamed to admit shedding a tear.
  5. That my friends is truly minging. Couldn't care less how it would drive just shoot me if you ever see me in one.
  6. Yeah, would be a little crass.
  7. Which means you are, have been, and always will be beneath contempt. No contrition at all. You reap what you sow in life, go steady now.
  8. Because yes, teams automatically get a crowd raised by 10k when they move ground. Just ask Coventry City. Oh...
  9. I would expect that thing are working proffessionally behind the scenes while a respectful silence is maintained on the surface. More then a week would be too much.
  10. Or 'Teh Skate Fred.'
  11. I agree with this, not living in the area it'll be the only chance I get too. Although I do think there was an e-mail address to send messages of condolence.
  12. I was feeling overwhelmingly positive. All the disputes over minutae didn't bother me but this does. I fear for our future, regardless of the brief assurances given during the sad announcements I do. I pray that Markus' legacy will be a positive one and that his time was not just brief promise.
  13. It doesn't to me. One man gave so much of his own fortune to help our club that I truly am amazingly grateful and incredibly saddened by his passing. He will be missing out on so much enjoyment through passing before his time. Read my blog for more details of why I feel as I do.
  14. Please? Mainly so we (I?) can display a permanant Markus Liebherr tribute after the posts I make. Thankyou.
  15. Would it be clichéd to suggest getting 'Liebherr' on the back of the new Sash kits a fair few of us have bought?
  16. They've been offered a pay rise at a time when most employees are grateful to be holding station. On that basis alone, f**k 'em.
  17. A bid for Marc Wilson has been rejected too. http://www.football365.com/story/0,17033,8652_6308512,00.html Just where are they intending to get this money from?
  18. No. Far, far too angry to consider anything like that right now.
  19. You cheat to gain an unfair sporting advantage and have cried foul at every opportunity then wonder why you get derided? No contrition, just crying foul. Maybe you have suffered enough.... but the reaction and lack of dignity on your forums shows otherwise. Someone DIES at the club of your biggest rival and you see it as a chance to stick the boot in. Dirty little club with no moral compass. Enjoy hell.
  20. What, really? So that's twice now he's managed that.
  21. The first time i've ever felt any respect for the franchise. Lets make the Leyton Orient game something special now.
  22. No, I believe from initial press that his dream will be part of his legacy. At the very least he will see us safe. Incredible fortune on our part.
  23. Could be and equally he may have told those who he trusted about his desire to have some fun before he passed away?
  24. Yeah, the impatience from Cortese in terms of demanding promotion. The random tour of Switzerland. The seemingly random selflessness of the takeover. His evidently schoolboy love of the JPT final. I hope he got as much joy from his time in charge as we did. It is as Tragic as it is incredible. But why us!?
  25. Who knows. Illness does make things seem to make a lot more sense though.
