The 'Soccer Saturday' format does need freshening up a bit, it feels like exactly the same show it was in 1999. Not a bad thing in some ways, it's endured because it basically is quite amusing, but there are other alternatives now which do the job arguably better. (BT and even the BBC's final score..........) It does feel like watching an old boys club, fine if that's what you enjoy but it's clearly not going to have wider appeal.

Great, a betting company. Good work to find a replacement in such short order, but a great pity it had to be a company like that. The club has also accepted the situation with people who have already bought the kit. Look forward to what solution they will offer.

The Sunday Times - Southampton put up for sale at £250m

Paying hundreds of millions for a club and not getting a stadium as part of it. Cannot see it happening over say Newcastle or us. -
Nothing about the Wellbeck link makes sense. Not a prolific goalscorer, struggled to get into the Watford side last year (so his abilities are clearly declining) and will have high wage demands at a time when we are tryng to get rid of highly paid deadwood. Agent talk I would guess to try and flush out interest.

Bad Gateway....... 9 times out of 10.

Top three favourite Saints managers in the PL era.

1. Adkins - Just 2 years of pure joy. He had us in a safe position when he was cruelly dismissed. Could he have achieved more with the players at his disposal? Perhaps, but he did achieve what many would have considered at the very least highly improbable. 2. Koeman - We were a genuine force with him in charge, all in the context of initially anticipated relegation and firesales. An arrogant so-and-so but with good reason. 3. Strachan - Cup final, cup final, cup final. Delgado, a yoghurt and the cup final. Worst: Redknapp. A comprehensive and all too conveniently forgotten failure. Pellegrino. Just so far out of his depth...... Yet persevered with for far too long. Burley: Maybe most disappointing. The gamble on promotion did not pay off and we never looked especially convincing going about it anyway. -
Swear they said this about Van Dijk.

Winners: Man City Relegated: West Brom, Fulham, Palace CL: Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal Europa: Chelsea, Spurs, Wolves Surprise of the season: Sheff Utd/Leeds duking it out for the best in Yorkshire just outside the European places. Burnley continuing to be boring but effective after their weird end of the season. Underwhelming: Everton. Ancelotti motivates egos, he doesn't coach mediocrity above it's station. First sacking: Woy. Saints: 8th or 9th. Praying for a good cup run.

FFS, being used as a stepping stone once more.

We have a 'special edition.' Clearly. 😞

Having been to our own Derby, nothing comes close to the raw hatred of Hereford v Shrewsbury. The only game where I've seen a grown man crawl over other people in the main stand to attack a family. Clearly not a massive derby, but the more localised, the more intense they can get. Fenerbache and Galatasaray only at number 6?

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

This is how we are doing it at the school I work. Along with one way systems to prevent intermixing. At break times as well, pupils go to their tutor bases, this will prevent the need for teachers being all over the place. As for looking after the kids during lunch time, there are duty rotas for that kind of thing, just like in normal times. The only pain will be the reduction in time we have to prepare/mark. I'm optimistic that it can work. Hell, I just want to be able to teach face to face again, remote learning was a waste of time for those who need to be in school most. -
Fantastic news, the intelligent, energetic full back we've needed for a while.

A good professional, who excels in one key area. Spurs will need to use him properly. Glad we managed to get a reasonable fee for him.

Giggs? Ask his brother’s missus.

I take no joy from that. Really wanted Bournemouth to stay up. From our perspective, the Ché Adams goal was moment of the match, a really cute bit of play and great finish. So important for us to have another striker firing. It was a routine victory, professionally done.

Very assured, quite promising.

Come on Bournemouth!
-
Yeah, I would rather not be the side to condemn them.
-
But now 2-0 down. So, as things stand and we manage to beat them on Sunday......
-
We were rather good. Still don't know how to feel about that. It's just so..... strange.

Players you would sign from relegated teams....

Echoing some of the thoughts above. Cantwell (Being chased by higher profile clubs I would expect.) Aké Trezuguet Brooks -
Bournemouth showing that they can take advantage of mistakes. They will not come up against a team screwing up like this again this season.

Well. That was a good few minutes for them.
