  1. Can we have a 'I don't ****ing care anymore can we just get with it' reply?
  2. No you don't, don't tease. In all seriousness, if you do I would just keep buying meals, there are enough Park Lanes floating around, you are bound to get one.
  3. Not just me looking then.
  4. St Mary's Art Museum anyone? Heard the interview too, seemed the council official was quite serious regarding trying to safeguard '125 years' of history.
  5. My thoughts too.
  6. It can be interpreted many ways. I agree with your point that a compromise in terms of role should have been reachable, based on how many have reacted towards working with Lowe though, I fear the compromise you suggested wouldn't have been possible. It just seems inconsistent for Lowe to accept someone else being Chairman, and I doubt Crouch would have taken that due to a personality clash making it impossible for them to work together anyway.
  7. I wish to plant an early flowering perenial with white blooms in my garden as a memorial to a recently deceased pet. Any suggestions?
  8. Sorry, but if I am to invest an amount of money in something, especially when it is to be directly controlled by someone else, it is surely prudent to request a show of good faith by requesting the same in return. But either way, it is now done..... and is history.
  9. I dearly hope so, it would be fascinating to get a true snapshot of his delusion.
  10. The Miracle of Castel di Sangro has always been a favourite of mine. The author is a self righteous tw*tbag, but the story it documents is fascinating.
  11. He never wanted to sell the club, it was his asset to cultivate as he saw fit.
  12. Well, that would seem to be typical of Rupert, even his final big idea gets blown out of the water!
  13. Indeed, it seems they havn't quite grasped the symbolic nature of a virtual ticket. Gladly, the donation lines are there though....
  14. Good, hopefully we can have West Brom style plain shirts next year.
  15. Should be amusing. Wonder if they will subject him to any direct questions from us lot.
  16. Martin Ling or Aidy Bothroyd.
  17. Worst: The fiver I put on Crouchy scoring the winner at Fratton Park in April 2005. Best: Doesn't apply, i've not bothered betting again....
  18. The games themself no longer matter, the matters off field are the most important thing. It's all about preparing for the future.
  19. And to you too mate, give my regards to my Mum, who lives in Qawra. COME ON YOU REDS!!!
  20. What a game. Remember it like it was yesterday. Can't believe I was only 17 back then. Got tickets for the Northam but dad got ****ed of because he ended up standing (he's the kind of guy who expects all seater if we pay for all seater....) Got shifted to the lower part of the Kingsland/Northam corner after he prtested to the steward and we saw the goal basically square on from the view point. Brilliant, utterly brilliant, but oh the parrallels since.
  21. It's still worrying that so many people try to simplify our current situation and try to blame one person. We are in administration due to a combination of factors.... not due to a dictator. I do feel though that Leon was at worst the best of a bad bunch. He always seemed to be trying to do his best for the club as a whole, not just himself, even if he wasn't totally infallable in his decisions... A total cleanse is required, and administration gives us the potential for that. Whatever happens Saints will survive, we are too many in number for the club to simply vanish, there will always be a Southampton fc.
  22. How would we know if a 'company' set up for this purpose is legitimate?
  23. And they are still getting just as big, if not more of a kick out of watching them then they where a decade ago. Despite the highly precarious position we are now in I feel certain (purely instinct mind... no hard logic involved) that Saints will emerge stronger out of this then before.
  24. Regardless of that figure's accuracy, that it could it even be speculated that a club's fans could raise that amount at a time like this is remarkable! I sadly am running very tight at the moment and cannot spare much (certainly not 3 figures) I applaud everyone who has said they would contribute, you are the reason why, whatever happens there will be a Southampton Football Club to support.
