  1. I take it that you're a Manure fan then.
  2. Are people not just using the contractions: could've etc. which just sounds like "could of"?
  3. Thanks for posting this MLG, it made me realise how much I've missed football during the off season. Getting excited about next season now!
  4. Is Tommy doing an impression of the original Ted Bates statue?
  5. I think it is actually roFLcopter rather than roLFcopter. Which is a evolution of rofl: Rolling on floor laughing. Roflcopter means: Rolling On Floor Laughing Can't Operate Properly Til Eyes Re-adjust HTH
  6. Can't believe that no one has mentioned WGS yet. (Unless I missed it!) Wee Gordon Strachen
  7. I wasn't that bothered when we got relegated from them Prem. I thought it would be a chance to see us play in some new stadiums, actually win more than we lost for a change and I fully expected us to be back after a couple of years. But the reality of what actually happened has made me really appreciate how lucky we were. I hope we now do at least aanother 27 years in the top flight.
  8. Staffies being walked by guys in tracksuits during normal working hours
  9. Many thanks I refuse to give any of my hard earned cash to the Murdoch's, but I see that ESPN is an option on my BT vision box, do you know if that is also the ESPN america you mention or not?
  10. Is the ESPN channel that you can get here in England showing MLB?
  11. Great result, the team were fantastic to deal with such a pressure game so well. Plus well done to the travelling 3500 Saints fans, you came across loud and clear on the radio.
  12. Only once, Northampton away in the cup a couple of years ago. Just decided on a whim to go, and thoroughly enjoyed it. As a few others have said, our support is generally very friendly and it is easy to strike up a conversation. Would do it again.
  13. Should have read to the end of the thread first, as plenty of others got that joke in ealrier :-(
  14. Probably on his way to (or from) court.
  15. Bat, Cricket pads, batting gloves, box and spikes axle stands crowbar spark-plug spanner trickle charger for the classic car's battery Set of Poker chips
  16. With just shy of 6K available, I'm sure there will be tickets left when it gets to general sale. (Plus it seems we may get even more tickets if the sterile areas are reduced in size).
  17. Just bought 8 online a few mins ago. Bring on Dellhurst Park 2.
  18. Really looking forward to this one now. We owe them a beating after our poor performance in the cup replay. Nice easy train journey up from Chi for a day on the beers in London. I have a feeling Billy Sharp will grab a goal or two too. COYR!
  19. brum 2-2 derby Pompey get one back
  20. Pompey 2 down Derby have got one back against brum
  21. We could really end up stuffing them quite convincingly at SMS if they keep off loading what little talent they have. Fingers crossed they have a bunch of kids out against us in that game.
  22. I have been to Millwall 3 times now and everytime it has been a total free-for-all when it comes to where you sit (or more likely stand). If you get into the ground early enough with your nipper (whilst most of us will still be in the pubs at London Bridge) you should be able to bag seats in the front row.
  23. I remember going to White Hart Lane as a kid with my Dad for a FA Cup 3rd round tie, in 1990, when I was about 11. We ended up winning 3-1 against a team I recall included Gazza and Lineker. I think they were one of the favorites for the cup that year and their fans rioted afterwards. I remember my Dad dragging me down into a subway to take shelter, whilst bricks were flying around smashing windows on Tottenham High Road.

    Millwall Away

Just got two tickets for this one, looking forward to a few beers and hopefully 3 points.
  25. NY Mets fan, seem to recall they were playing in the first game I saw back in the day on channel 4. Mike Piazza was my favorite player. Seem to remember him getting into a few fights to liven a few games up. Only game I have seen in the flesh was San Diego v St Loius, where rookie pitcher Budd Smith threw a no-hitter (from Wikipedia): His Major League career was short but notable, as he became the 18th rookie since 1900 to throw a no-hitter. Smith's Cardinals defeated the San Diego Padres 4-0 on September 3, 2001, the rookie hurler giving up four walks but no hits, while throwing 134 pitches in the game. Due to Smith's high pitch count entering the later innings, Cardinal pitching coach Dave Duncan was actually hoping someone would break up the no-hitter, fearing that his young pitcher might tire, although he went against that judgment in allowing Smith to finish the game. As of August 2011, Smith's no-hitter is the last one for a Cardinals pitcher. I was gutted when MLB was dropped by 5. Although you can get some good live streams over the net these days, especially if you can put up with spanish or japanese commentary.
