  1. Just read that whole thread, absolutely comedy gold, especially matey crying cause his Mrs got called fat in McDonald's, must be on a wind up, would take most of their stories with a huge pinch of salt. But overall you can see how triggered they are, they know our crowd outshone their pathetic support and have taken to the Internet to have a good old winge being bullied off the pitch, resorting to the usual 'Pompey fans are better' nonsense. Perhaps they were expecting us to give them a guard of honour on Wembley Way. Pleased that despite the result some of them had their day out spoilt 👍
  2. Loads of positive comments about our team / support from people I know who follow other clubs who watched on tv, certainly good for the image of the club. One opinion I heard post match , this cup run was the best tribute to the boys of 76 and did the 'special' kit justice, we never really needed the 'legends' game at St Mary's, this cup run was enough and will be well remembered
  3. I was in the ground for a good ten minutes after the final whistle, you could see the lift the players got from appreciation received from the fans, really good , Wembley obviously thought we wanted to hear from one of Man City's players broadcasting post match interview over the speakers but that was completely drowned out by Saints singing https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1DepeD95uv/
  4. I'd say all the players can hold their heads high, gave it everything and thats all we can ask from them
  5. I think Bragg has been a great addition to the first team squad this season, showed some very composed performances in big matches, hope Scotland take him to the world cup
  6. I've not really looked on social media since the game but would be great to see more pics and videos of our end, i really hate how the corporate club wembley tier cuts through our support, as expected loads of that was left empty
  7. That's the worry isn't it. We don't go up , players and possibly even manager leave, we're back to square one
  8. I was upper tier and expected atmosphere to be quite flat compared to lower but was actually impressed, good noise around me and everyone seemed to be getting involved, probably helped by the fact that it was limited areas left when on members sale so a real mix of fans getting the singing going. I'd say losing a semi final to a late goal there absolutely should be a necessary edge afterwards, Highbury 84, get stuck in Saints
  9. Even if we somehow beat Ipswich i think QPR at home last game is a gift for them and with their goal difference they know winning that is enough to stay ahead of Millwall. Millwall will beat Oxford. Hopefully Middlesbrough have a tough game at Wrexham and give us a chance to go back above them
  10. Definitely a good player, any news on his injury? Was hard to tell in the ground what was wrong with him, did they say on tv?
  11. If Ipswich win they are promoted (as good as) , I think it will be a cagey game and quite likely to be a draw , bound to be quite a few changes from the team that started the semi final , I'll go for 1-1
  12. I wouldn't care too much about what they put on their forum, City support was shite as expected, saw a few of theirs who thought it would be funny to celebrate right in the faces of Saints fans outside at the end then quickly wished they hadn't so probably two sides to those stories. I thought our support was good to be honest, build up around Wembley was buzzing and felt like we outnumbered them 3 to 1 going up Wembley way, no bother pre match just really positive atmosphere, obviously the occassion meant more to us and that was reflected in the build up and the stands
  13. On way home now, i know we're supposed to accept defeats to teams like Man City but feel absolutely gutted, taking the lead briefly gave us that hope that it could just be our turn
  14. For a team that is "red and white" we always do yellow and blue really well
  15. Might get chilly in the 2nd half, look out for me I'll be the bloke in black and white carrying a Saints for the Cup banner
  16. Textbook, earlier train was fine , no issues
  17. That's only true in the neutral area, we also have an allocation at that level sold by Saints where you can wear what you like. 239 was in our allocation? Edit - actually can see its part of neutral blocks but right next to Saints official area
  18. I like your optimism , however if you look how WBA celebrated their win midweek mathematically securing survival i think its likely they are done for the season now. Millwall will win at Leicester tonight so by the time we take to the field at Wembley 2nd and 3rd could be 6 points clear of us.
  19. They might have given 1,000 away or another theory a City fan i know has is they just took those off sale to concentrate last min sales into other blocks that will be more visible on tv. Either way there will be 23k - 24k in official City end, how many of those are regular City fans travelling from Manchester is another thing, as members could buy 3 each im sure there will be a fair number of tourists in their end who just want to see star players at Wembley. 60% of middle tier is "neutral" club wembley, mostly annual tickets owned by London based Corporates (includes all England games, fa cup semi finals, fa cup final, carabao cup and play offs) those seats are counted as sold but often go unused for less appealing games. Would expect a fair few Saints to be in those seats, lots were in play offs 2 years ago. Official attendance will probably by roughly 68-70k with actual numbers in the ground closer to 66k Biggest spread of empty seats is half of upper tier South side of ground which is same side as main tv cameras so won't be so visible on tv.
  20. He's been with us 4 seasons now so 1 year left on his contract i think, there's no way I can see any team offering a transfer fee for him, might be able to loan him out again
  21. I think hes been massively unlucky, how many other occurrences have there been this season of fa reviewing footage and taking retrospective action in the Championship?
  22. A friend of mine had a similar issue and emailed the ticket office, they replied same day but that was a week ago when tickets were still available, would give it a try tickets@saintsfc.co.uk
  23. We could actually do with Wrexham beating Middlesbrough for us
  24. Looking at remaining fixtures i think play offs will be Wrexham v Millwall Southampton v Middlesbrough With Millwall and Middlesbrough being home in 2nd legs
