Football Special

I'm sure but one more year of parachute payments might help delay the financial doom ?

@Turkish needs to update user name to Turkiyaish ASAP please

Hard to tell with my eyesight, is that a graphic or is he wearing a jumper saying RUSSELL MARTIN ?

I think he'll actually do ok for you, probably win the league What's the expectation around players to leave?

I'm the same, but am of the mind that if this helps shift a load more tickets and make it feel like a better event with a good crowd in then we all benefit, should have just been cheaper from the start but they will have learnt usual boxing prices wont work for an event of this scale in Southampton

Fair play to the Scots, excellent support over there

All true, plus the world cup is on, I've met Garner and he's a top bloke, doing exceptionally well at his sport , I'd love this to be a big night but demand just isn't there for live boxing and at those prices wont be many casual fans who go along. Hopefully Saints ticket offer will fill a few more seats

He'd have known there was a chance his contract wouldn't be extended (as Saints had let it run down without activating) so im sure his agent was already sounding out interest. I reckon he has an offer that he's agreed to, could be Middlesbrough, feels like so much of his time here was a disaster its typical that he's finally managed a run of games and fucks off. Watch him be Championship top scorer next season now

Yeah surprised we haven't announced it if he has

Yes , thought they'd have announced that by now

Does it mean hes contract is up but there's still a possibility of signing a new one or just its confirmed he's off (most likely due to having an agreement elsewhere to start in July?) Overall he was a disaster of a signing due to being injured and missing so so many games over the 4 years

Can we stop paying him now?

We sold him to cheaply

No idea , but he started both their warm up games last week

Cyle Larin Southampton's Goal Machine worth tuning in for at least

Is this Mexican opening ceremony going to be worth a watch? Hadn't realised that they are also going to have separate opening ceremonies in US and Canada, feels a bit excessive

Trippier I think will do ok in that position, Jimenez will depend on staying fit, probably similar to Ross Stewart

Match of the Day coming live from the High Court

Opens a can of worms, we'll end up with clubs taking out lawsuits against each other , lawyers will be delighted but the game is so far removed from the every day fan with all this nonsense Expect the appeal will take a while to be heard

I always wondered why we needed such a large covid loan (if at all). TV money was still paid wasn't it in the end, was just the match tickets that we missed out on (and pie sales)

Will you allow Steven Davis to wear that badge?

Dont think so, Newcastle are signing a goalkeeper from France for £18M

I remember Chris Baird marking Rooney out of the game when Northern Ireland beat England

Of course! The main man, can have a word with Shea persuade him to stay

Weve had a few Saints legends that played for Saints and Northern Ireland, Jim Magilton, Iain Dowie, Alan Blayney, I'm sure there are others?
