Surman when we beat Barnsley 5-2
-
Bad as the referee was, the one thing I really appreciated was the clear counting down of the time the keeper was holding the ball before he would concede a corner. That change could make a real difference to football. Shame we didn't have it in the Pulis and Allardyce eras
-
I wouldn't argue with six of the seven. But there are many who surely outrank Lallana - Ted Bates, Ron Davies, Alan Ball or even CB Fry
-
Although in the case of Chivers he only played two seasons for us in the top division before he was off to Spurs
-
Doucoure is exactly what we need. Released by Everton so available on a free. Only 32
-
We will still finish in the play-offs. Bristol City, a team of nothing players, managed it last season
-
But was that adjustment his downfall? I contend that Ralph had something akin to a breakdown in the win over Liverpool and he was never the same manager again
-
Bristol City made the play-offs last season. Even though we might think we are poor, our players are still better than what is a really low standard
-
It would be even worse if someone triggered it
-
He is going to be competing with Win-Bissaka for the right back position. So could end up out of position on the left.
-
It annoys me that they refer to the original as "iconic". It absolutely was not iconic.
-
That winning team was I believe Windsor FC. This still is from a previous round that was filmed at our away game at Ipswich. I actually saw the film at the Savoy cinema in Nottingham

With the 79 League Cup we played two major finals in that specific kit and the 2003 FA Cup Final kit was a tribute to it. But decisions that supporters would make without hesitation are not creative enough for marketing people. No let's replicate a kit no one liked the first time round. I am worried that the next home design will be based on the Steve Zodiac abomination from our centenary season of 85/86.

I thought the penalty was soft. And the players seemed a bit surprised when the ref pointed to the spot. I think he was making up for missing a nailed on penalty a few minutes earlier.
-
Referee was very poor. Failed to add 6/7 minutes on to the first half for the medical emergency - it looked like he was using the stadium clock for timing.

1971 - Pilgrimage by Wishbone Ash followed by Bolan Boogie

KWP is much better than that
-
Was a new contract necessary - was there any danger of someone taking him off us? Apart from Rangers

In the late 60s Terry Paine owned a fruit and veg shop down by Foys Corner. We lived in Thornbury Avenue so my mum would often send me down there for a few pounds of potatoes and he served me a number of times.
-
It is rather amusing that they show it in front of a team photo from 1976 showing how the design was executed far better then
-
It was Steve Williams as well. Ossie never played for us again. Had he stayed he could still have done a job in the first division
-
The word locally is that Brooks failed the medical
-
Doucore is exactly what we need in midfield. Surprised Everton have let him go. We should also sign Shelvey so he cant play against us
-
I guess we are on Sunderland's preferred buyers list

Can I add to the mix Paul Jones. Brought in by his mate David Jones and displaced Maik Taylor, a fine player who could easily have been our keeper for the next decade. Jones was absolutely brilliant for half a season and then became complete rubbish.
