Stumbled across this. How times have changed.

I voted for mid table mediocrity. I think one of Azaz or Fellows will leave in the summer, and I’ve got to be honest I couldn’t care which one. Neither have lit up the world. Azaz goes through hot and cold streaks, not something you want from a player in his position that should be dictating the game. Fellows, as much as he is playing out of position and has been largely ok, all I see from him is constant step overs, take it to the goal line and try and dink in a cross. Granted yesterday Matsuki got to it but that’s the first time out of 638,549,639 attempts this season that that has succeeded. He’s ok, but very overrated by many on here. That’s how low we have fallen. His finishing is atrocious too.

They must be fucking high.

Eleven new players as a minimum would be a start. Plus several more. And maybe ten-fifteen departures. A different manager. A strong coaching set up. A board that understand how to run a football club.
-
Just an experienced manager would be a start. No “potential to be great”, no “edgy”, just go for someone established

Sport Republic bods sip tea. ”Oh yes we can”

Friend first, boss second
-
Villa got Unai Emery around the time we got Nathan Jones. The trajectory of both teams since 😢
-
If he made one save he was already up on Bazunu. He didn’t have to do much today. Given that he made two saves in four seconds I’d say he is world class. Full expect Sport Republic’s statisticians and recruitment team to be discussing and preparing a £40M bid now.

I’d have more respect for him if he called everyone out at the club. Imagine calling out the players and those above you for the incompetencies and shitshow and all it’ll cost you as a few quid. Nowadays the money talks. I bet as soon as he signed that contract he was working out wha his termination pay off was going to be. He knows he won’t be here come the start of next season.

This is what I was saying yesterday, that whole “technical director or director of football” role - it’s absolute bollocks. They make all the decisions but don’t see the flack of it goes wrong. The “head coach” nowadays is the fall guy. They just get a bundle of players thrown to them and told “make it work” and when it inevitably doesn’t they get sacked. Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, West Ham and now us are three examples of where it is going horrendously wrong. You can’t tell me that many of those clubs signings in recent years have been their head coach’s decisions.

Wow I’ve seen some tweets about him in the last hour!
-
“Revert to back five, revert to back five! The game is there to be broken, LOSE IT”
-
Lots of chants against them today 👀
-
No he’s just saying it as it is. He regularly talks about it as things are on Total Saints Podcast, but he’s tended to be more careful in the way he’s worded things. Now even I think he’s sick of it. He might not be a supporter but he views this and enjoys football and must be just as baffled and confused at the club, the team selection every week.

Excellent win with loads of positive performances. Peretz was incredible today. Stewart back on the pitch, you can see why they liken him to Miroslav Klose. ”I played four at the back” and we only just won so what do those pesky Saints fans know.
-
Billy Sharp 12/1 Come on guys! We know what our defence is like!
-
IT’S TOOONDDAAA TIIIMMEEEE!
-
Just seen Tonda get off the phone, presumably to Rasmus, just noticed five defenders warming up to come on and hold onto this lead.
-
Struggling to get excited, maybe we just found out level
-
Haha baffled! I’m sure he’ll revert to seven at the back for the next one
-
Is it four or five at the back?
-
This seems the most likely. It’s just self-sabotage now
-
His next plan will be to play hobbit Elias Jelert at CB 😂 Cunning plan
-
Saints could learn a lot from them
