Imagine if the club are seen to be waiting and waiting and waiting for Danny Rohl only for him to be offered a bigger club on July 1st. Sport Republic can’t dither about with this.

Danny Rohl will be confirmed a week after the new season has ended. A bit like the club waiting until we were officially relegated to sack Ivan Juric … Just a hunch I might add 😅

I’ve said it before Sports Republic have tried to run before they can walk. You can’t fault the investment from Dragan Solak and the ambition of having a football group, but you have to do it baby steps at a time. Build you first club, then branch out, other clubs, franchises, whatever. You don’t scatter gun buy clubs too early. The error has been the lack of footballing personnel in place to oversee these changes and make these decisions.

I think it’s worth everyone take a step back and remember what a tit Simon Jordan is. Also worth bearing in mind how trigger happy Talkshite is in releasing “stories” and rumours. Pay attention to the likes of Alfie House (the Echo) and Adam Blackmore (BBC), they’re most likely to have the inside track. Not some gammon nutter on the radio filling a bit of air time that has a track record of winding up and antagonising.

The squad isn’t terrible including the players loaned out. We should be one of, if not, the strongest squad as of June 1st. What will be interesting is which managers will hold as much interest if they were told that, say, Ramsdale, THB, Fernandes, Dibling and Archer will definitely be leaving. It also depends on what constraints there are going to be for incoming players.

It might help to fix the present now, otherwise we’ll continue to make the future harder to recover from. Fair?

It would be nice for us to actually target the title rather than simple promotion. Wouldn’t it be refreshing for us to be the team that stormed away with it.

Yep. Because that’s worked so well for SR so far at Southampton, two relations on the CV, disjointed fanbase, now a high manager turnover. 😂

So who would you take between Daniel Farke and Danny Rohl if offered the choice?

He attacks teams at speed, likes a wide player with pace and a target man in the middle. I don’t get why people wouldn’t consider Daniel Farke if Leeds parted company. He’s always done a good job at the top end of the Championship.
