I don’t give a shit as long as the players turn up and there’s a good performance. They’ve clearly turned a corner under Tonda Eckhart. They’ll be some that are begging him to drop a point or two to say “I told you so” but he’s clearly got the backing of the squad and those around him so far. That goes a long way!

Swear people are making up rumours now. Read back over the last few days. There are no links or new news aside from that SR are going to analyse again after the next few games. People are dropping in names randomly now and others are taking it as gospel. There’s no new information. We all know Tonda will end up getting it, it’s just SR dithering about announcing it.

I’ll be honest, I don’t really care. I wake up every day and the same people are crying about “why haven’t we got an incredible manager in” etc, we’re all thinking it but I’m bored of reading it every day. We all know where this is going. I’ve become numb to a lot of this and football in the last eighteen months or so. It’s more enjoyable going to non-league football.

I think it’s pretty clear that Sport Republic want a “head coach” rather than a manager. They want all the recruitment, starting, data, nerdy stuff done by an internal SR team. But this is where SR are a great example of executing this structure terribly.

The other way of looking at it is if Tonda wins five or six on the bounce, why would you replace him?

I’d take just one of the above happening and truthfully I don’t see any of the above happening. Why would Shea Charles sign a new deal? He can leave on a free in little over eighteen months and he’ll get some Prem teams sniffing around before then. Absolutely howling 🤣 don’t tell @Matthew Le God
