Seven consecutive posts about Taylor Harwood-Bellis, over twelve in the last 24 hours - all of which say either the same thing or nothing of any substance. It just fuels the rumours and makes gullible twats on here and social media see it as fact. The only post I care about is the one from the club when they say he’s been sold (if it comes to that), otherwise why do people even entertain this shit?

He won’t go for less than £30m, and I still don’t think there’s much going on in this gossip. Championship starts this weekend, we’re hardly liked by anyone. Stories will come out all the time about is.

I don’t think he’ll leave, unless a substantial offer that the club can’t refuse comes in. They’ll be some on socials and on here that are probably creaming at the idea of him going on deadline day just so they’ll have something to moan about. But this summer feels different, it’s us as a club against the world, with a point to prove, and I think we will. We will win the league this season.

I’m more confident of Casper Jander staying, I think it would be a pretty seismic decision to allow both he and Shea Charles to leave in this window - and I was always convinced SC would go. Taylor Harwood-Bellis is an interesting one. I thought he’d have been one of the first out the door, but seemingly not. I think his situation is a bit more unique; clearly seen as a leader around the club, his development and attitude has been huge, recently married, only this year had a baby with his partner - things like that make me think he might stay put for one more season, unless a monumental offer comes in that the club can’t turn down. My concern would be that if someone like him leaves, would the likes of Flynn Downes, Ryan Manning etc push to go at the last minute? I’m more confident he’ll stay in all truth.

This page is very much like teenagers screaming at each other saying “mines better than yours”. 😂😂 Whoever the Russell Martin lover is, quite simply he isn’t going to sleep with you. It’s time to move on. It’s the equivalent of one half of the relationship trying to proclaim there’s still some good there. We got promoted with him. Fair play. But for a club of our size and the squad we had we should’ve been in the top two. His tendencies to not adapt nearly cost us promotion, and ultimately he didn’t change or adapt for the Premier League despite ample warning signs. Sure the club didn’t help with average signings, but then again you need to help yourself and quite simply he didn’t. He then did his interview claiming he’d learnt a lot and had changed etc, he went to Rangers and was found out within a couple of months. I’m sure he’ll get promoted this season with Leicester, but quite simply I don’t see that league as much of a challenge for him or them. This season won’t be a test for him, next season will.

There quite simply hasn’t been any major positives of the “multi-club” model. We made a few million in terms of signing players, loaning them to Goztepe and eventually them signing them permanently. That is it. SR tried to run before they could walk and should’ve taken a more safe approach: Build up Southampton, their reputation, the clubs stature and then begin looking into multiple clubs and branch out.

If we’re serious about top two then we need a second proven striker. This Man City lad scored five goals last season - the first two came in the first two games and the final three were a hat trick later in the season. Not glowing in terms of stats, but I appreciate he was playing in a mediocre Stoke team. I have concerns about our wide players, all of them simply do not provide enough goals, someone with even an ounce of end product as a winger would allow us some attacking flexibility. The centre of midfield is a concern too, that Shea Charles replacement is probably the priority.

Fellows is one of the most underwhelming wingers we’ve had in recent times. He was better as a RWB. Scienza is selfish at times isn’t he.

I think some saying BBD has been shit is a bit rich, if it were Larin you’d be saying he hasn’t received the right service. I wouldn’t say anyone particularly stands out good or bad. It’s just lack of match fitness and rustiness, it shows throughout.

Scienza is frustrating as a player, creates many good moments but also overdoes it a lot. Most of the team largely anonymous, BBD, Dobbin, Fellows etc.
