  1. Nail hit firmly on head. That is virtually the same view as I had on the day, but a little more to the right and of course a good few rows back - but the moment Bobby (RIP) hit it and Stepney started his dive, time went into slow motion for me , and I could see Stepney was never going to reach it, and I was going bananas long before it actually hit the back of the net. That moment lasted for quite a while, and luckily for my old ticker I missed Utd hitting crossbar or goal line clearance a few minutes later at the other end!! People lining all the bridges and flyovers from about Fleet service station onwards cheering our return was very special indeed. For general Feel Good Factorness, the last 3 years have been wonderful, getting used to losing games again might not be so nice though!!
  2. Bonus .... saves me a couple of days unpaid leave and about 700 quid in air fares not to mention the pre / post match booze plus 3 pints and 4 burgers at halftime.
  3. He probably doesn't realise that Torres doesn't play for them anymore and wants to add him to his list of Henri to great players to learn from.
  4. Pretty certain the answer is a Big Fat NO as we agreed a Final One Off Installment to keep the club afloat which annulled (sp?) all the extra installments such as a million if Theo play x amount of games for Arsenal, a million if he played x amount of games for England, a million if he walked on the moon and a million if he won The Britains Got Talent etc etc. Same thing with Bale, so if he'd gone to Real Madrid for 50 million we'd have seen zilch, but no doubt Rosie may well have got a few extra bags of winnalot and a tin or two of Chum.
  5. Actually, of course, the correct answer is THE SPIRIT OF SOUTHAMPTON. God Bless all who sail on her ..... I'll drink to that ... make mine a pint of Margherita.
  6. Or presumably pay any bills - which admittedly doesn't seem to be a problem to them anyway.
  7. I think you could be onto something here. The problem could be Electricity being cut off, Police only working if Bills paid up front, Death Threats to TBH .... etc etc
  8. Don't really drink spirits on their own, but A Margherita would be my Cocktail of Choice most times. Liquers such as Baileys, Cointreau and Amarilla are more my bag baby.
  9. Get the Mohican Hair back - he looks so much better with it!!
  10. From the Video Clips of Arse game today - the Red stripes were virtually impossible to see.
  11. Claim to fame at being a member of staff at The 1st ever ex Prem Team to go mammaries upwards.
  12. Whoever Club 24 are, as and when they step up to the plate I think they should be given a great big resounding welcome from us!!
  13. The Spanish Economy is in a right old pickle already - tax dodging, bills dodging charity stealing Cheatsmuff is the last thing they need right now!!

It is spiteful and vindictive, and serves no purpose other than to kick us when we are down.........we are being punished for the same offence twice, as I see it, seeing as how we had points deducted last season. The only people to be affected by this are the players and fans of the football club, who were not responsible for or at fault for the administration or mismanagement of the club. The five or six thousand loyal fans of the club who have put their money up front in the purchase of season tickets have effectively had the value of those season tickets reduced, and the club has, at a stroke been rendered even less attractive to any potential buyer. Given the fact that we are also subject to a transfer embargo and are being totally hamstrung in our efforts to get out of the mess we are in, and instead of offering help and support, the league are obstructing and hindering any possible progress we try to make....... it is shameful and does the FL no credit , it merely highlights their own inept running of the league they are supposed to be in charge of, and however you look at this, you can find no justification or valid reason for it.......we are an easy target and are being victimised. This will not deter any other club or chairman, it will not stop mismanagement at football clubs and will not achieve anything at all within the football league, all it does is give the other 23 clubs in league one an unfair advantage over the coming season. Nice one Football League, and thanks for nothing.. again! Part II ........could read Nice one PFC ...etc a sentiment shared by numerous local small business men, creditors and charities!! WTFILN.
  15. Lol ..... what a classic final volley ...... talk about hypocritical!! What does he think they've been doing for the last 10 years??
  16. I'm confused - it's not Friday today. Maybe they are hoping all the attention will be deflected away from them by our Marquee signings announcement tomorrow. Guess I picked a bad day to be out on the razz all day and won't be in a fit state to check in when I get home. Saturday morning's reading already sorted then as I catch up!!
  17. The State of St Mary's ..... ummm sounds nice. Is this a part of NC's Masterplan. Will he be King/President?
  18. This should confuse any visiting Yanks. Are Pringles sponsors?
  19. Watched the game in a pub in Dubai. Loads of liverpool fans taking the p!ss till 2 hours later they were crying in their beers as ex Saint Howard scored for Barnsley with just about the last kick of the game to beat them at Anfield. Great result for me as I won some free drinks in a predict the score competition. That may well also have been the day where later on we met John Burridge doing Karaoke later on. For our match, only time I've not cheered a SRL goal!! ..... which takes to my worst match ....1st away game in L1 at Huddersfield. We were absolutely atrocious. As mentioned earlier, we were thrashed 3-1 but could have been twice as many, no atmosphere and SRL getting abuse for choosing us over them, supposedly just because we would pay him more rather than the fact he realised we were going places and hopped on the bus!! Only silver lining that day, besides all the beer was seeing SRL score a thumping header to ope his incredible account with us!!
  20. http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php...:demo-category We firmly believe that the City of Portsmouth needs a professional football club. Liquidation - which is still a real possibility - would be a devastating loss to not only the culture of the City but to the many Pubs, shops and other premises around Fratton Park that depend on the match day revenue to survive. Tourism from away fans coming to the City for many weekends of the year would also be lost. This club cannot be allowed to fail for the good of the City as well as for the Fans They don't seem to realise that, should they survive, that they aren't in The Premiership anymore and didn't qualify for The Chamions League either. Seems to me that the mere existence of the club over the last 5 years has been pretty devastating to local businesses and charities. Please just FOAD you festering cheating disgrace of a club.
  21. I'm guessing you mean Fulham? Just don't slag off Michael Jackson or you'll be in deep doo doos!!
  22. LOL ...subtle ...... OK then HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENDER !!!!
