At WBA mid 80's - got chucked out of home end for swearing when WBA scored after about 10 mins. Got warned not to try and get back in - went up to the WBA End and only realised after a few stares that I had my Pringle type jumper on with SFC Badge on ... oooops!! Spent rest of match strategically stood with arms folded hiding the badge. Just about managed to restrain myself, apart from a quick smirk, from giving the game away when Channon equalised right in front of me.

Could they make it a free edit if done within 15 minutes of parking your car ..... oooops sorry making the initial error?

I still get a tear in my eye whenever I read anything about Markus. Such a tragedy he didn't get to enjoy the two promotions and on the pitch celebrations. no camera in the world would have enough memory to store how many snaps he'd have taken!! For us who never had the pleasure of knowing the man his passing was a hard knock - imagine what Cortese went through. I wouldn'be surprised if it was him who started the WIFM campaign!!

Just found this ..... not seen it before. A few little cameos.

A couple of the free kicks near the beginning of the clipare so bizarre. a simple looking chip but the poor keepers seem totally bemused and stay rooted to the spot watching in awe as the ball drops into the back of the net. I was at the coventry match to the left of the goal the goal and because the keeper hadn't moved i assumed there had been an infringement or Matt had taken it before being given the go ahead. Just awesome. Also note how many of his penaltys hit the stanchion at the back of the net or even the side netting. Finally the 1st of The Newcastle pair, the initial flick up from behind himself to start the move hardly ever gets a mention but that is just amazing. Thanks Matt.

He has already forgotten that we used to play in Red and White stripes and Black Shorts .... he was on the look out for The Scousehampton kit!!!

Ha Ha ... those pics from the late 60's / early 70's remind me of the old programmes back then - there used to be a Football League supplemnet in the middle and had a Team Picture of teams from the lower leagues - and often there would be a stray bollock or helmet/bellend protruding out of somebody in the front rów's shorts. It became a bit of a pre match Spot The Ball Competition for us!!

You are doing SRL a great disservice there . one of the most sweetly hit volleys you are likely to see. But yes it was a hell of a sweet cushioned header down as well as awareness of what was going on around him. Looking forward to seeing him rip a few defences new ones!!
