I can reveal that the word should actually be BUDGIE. After the impressive display at Selhurst on Tuesday whereby a part of the pre match entertainment was a Real Live Eagle flying down the length of the pitch, Skatesmuff thought they will like to follow suit, but unfortunately after organising a 12 man committee to discuss the project, after deductions for a pint of milk, 12 teabags, a packet of digestives and having to put 20p in the electric meter to heat the kettle up twice, there was only enough money left for a Budgie or 2 goldfish in a bowl. It was decided that the Goldfish would be bordering on Porn and although could have had a beneficial improvemnet on crowd figures they didn't want to upset the 2000 school kids who get free tickets each week to nudge the figures past 10000. Obviously the Budgie isn't trained to do anything, so just sits in a cage eating millet seed, whilst keeping a watchful eye on the vultures circling overhead Notarf Krap!!

Sod shelling out cash to men to grow facial hair - how about introducing a Hovember where the good looking girls dress up and act like total Ho's for the month (within reason) - I'm sure they'd raise plenty of money and raise a few smiles, blood pressures and get the blood circulating around the old man area as well!! Maybe time to have means tested fines for incidents and clubs like this - even if that meant the FL paying Skatesmuff money each time they had an incident LOL

One step at a time - there are probably players in the squad who barely get that in a year let alone a month - so a week is so far away from our budget, even with all the perks of Prem - no way hose. Sadly we will be in a awkward situation if we get promoted. Players will know what salaries other clubs are offering in The Prem - but our pay structure would have to be shot to pieces and the harmony of the club we have at present would suffer as each players agent vies for their player to be topdog in the salary stakes. A smart move in pinning down players on long term contracts now - but as we all know - not worth the paper they are written on, but at least the club have some say in what happens next. I think Skatesmuff already have the franchaise on living outside of your means, so we will have to hope the players understand the situation, but equally have their contracts amended (no doubt there are probably more clauses in each contract than you could shake a stick at!!)

Maybe recently , but back in the day (wayyyyyy back LOL) they were pretty well repped. It's their home support that has really dropped off (not that it was any great shakes in the 1st place). A trip to the beautiful clean air of the south coast riviera is obviously a big selling point, plus an impressive away record and p!ss poor home record!!
