Love this phrase from Nige - not 2nd rate substitutes warming their ar5es on the bench - but players with the ability to change things around if a change of direction is needed. Stattos out there I'd love to know (and way to lazy to do it myself!!) just how many of his impact changes have scored after coming on - it seems like a bloody lot to me, or maybe it just gets hyped up? SDR already a couple of times this season, Lala in LC and of course the magnificent input from Forte V Francaise last year quickly spring to my addled mind, but it seems nearly every week they have made a difference. Compare that with the distinct lack of willingness to change things around by previous managers. Discuss etc.

He really has come on in leaps and bounds this season - maybe too eager to impress or maybe the pass and move game was alien to him. Early season too many short passes were going astray putting us under pressure, but now he is really looking comfortable with it and on top of his undoubted tenacity he has added the ghosting into goal scoring positions arrow to his bow and has time after time been thwarted by last ditch interception, goal line clearence, incredible save or woodwork. With the likes of Lambo, Guly and Lala's skill at threading through eye of the needle passes to people running into space he is a majr asset to the club, yet like the rest of the midfield not a 100% certainty to start!! Horsrs for courses and at times his tenacious style is better on the bench and coming on to shore things up when the others have run themselves into the ground. As Nige says it's not just about the starting XI, and in RCFG in waiting we have a gem. 50, 000 what a steal. About 10 days wage for Ben Haim LOL

I think Holy Grail has far more ROFL moments in it, but as said above, the way they dealt with some of the subject matter was very clever indeed. Maybe they could re release it under the title Life of Nigel or even better Life of Nicola?

Yes, he had a bit of a stinker, but in general his link play is wonderful and he does more defensive covering than people give him credit for, a part of his game that he has improved on from last year. Does seem more suited to home games where we are on the offensive more, but his eye for a pass is something that is needed to create chances especially with Lala out. Oh ..... and his song is one most people seem to be able to manage quite well!!

I believe he has, bar this one game, always spoke highly of Saints when he's been covering Live Matches - even to the extent of using "we" instead of Southampton at times. My concern is would he have passed on info about The Southampton Style and Tactics? The Blueprint seems the same across the board having seen our youngsters dispatch Man U's 4-2 a few weeks ago with a wonderful display of pass and move and overlapping defenders. Of course any scout or oppo coach / manager can come and see our games or even the 1 min 30 secs on The Highlights Show each week and see what we are all about though. Lets face it Reading played out of their skins and came mighty close to beating us, so I can see why anybody involved with them would be very pleased about their performance. Much prefer him to Andy Townsend who seems to find it impossible to say a good word about us.

You're telling me - I fookin hate these spacky streams stop start stop start .... freeze just as something is about to happen. I switched off their commentary and listened to Dave Merryton and the boys and then watched the stop start action replays only to miss the only decent bits as the link tried to play catch up. At one time they were 7 mins behind!! Not for the first time arsing about from one link to another was just one big distraction from actually listening / watching the match. The good news is I think i won about 30 ipads - go me!!
