PAH ... they didn't compliment us last season after I'd been in there.

Glad I'm not the only one then. Not just restricted to footie, but nights out on the beer in general. You can just about itemise every beer, packet of crisps, train fare etc (even rounding things up to make the mental maths easier) ... but the net result is the pixies have rifled thru your wallet whilst you weren't looking. And back on track .... don't ever try to listen to, let alone watch Saints stone cold sober ... especially against the likes of Oldham. Lets face it unless they have changed BIG TIME from last season it isn't going to be pretty. If you need any incentive to go ... think about the fact that you'd probably be posting on here instead. I know where I'd rather be given the choice!!

This must be the highlight of the season for their 256 travelling supporters. A weekend in in a fishy mecca! This is like a lads weekend in Ibiza or Amsterdam for them. I.m still amazed at how quickly Hull spunked away 2 seasons worth of mega bucks so quickly though.

Well basically because we aren't a bunch of fecking cheating smelly fish bothering khunts we accepted a one off final payment and a bonus of getting Mr Forecast tied up in a 5 year contract, to try and stave off bankruptcy and pay our players and other bills on time, instead of the structured up to 10 million quid (or was it 12?) over a period of time. Much the same applied to Theo as well except no Forecast chucked in - maybe Pulis was somehow factored in? Hmph ... who says cheats never proper. We may well hold the moral high ground (as do 90% of clubs) but it unfortunately couldn't stop our demise, whilst those web toed pond dwellers cheated their way to Fa Cup Finals and signed players well beyond their means and totally avoided paying taxes, fees and charitable organisations as well as numerous local enterprises, schools and businesses etc etc .... yet had the audacity and bloody bare faced cheek to cry foul when Inter or some other italian club didn't cough up on time recently. Unbeleivable. Anyway well done Gareth .... shame you aren't English!!

Saw Saints promoted for the first time ever to Top Tier Division (although can't say i actually saw or remember any of it) and actually was at 1st ever Div 1 game at The Dell. Saw Saints qualify for Europe on several occasions but sadly never made an away trip. Saw Saints get relegated followed by Promotion a few years later. That interim period of course included MAY 1ST 1976 which I'm glad to say i attended and the carnival week of events that followed. Another trip to Wembley for League Cup but we of course lost that one to Forest. Moved overseas (Maggie said if you want a job get on your bike ... well I went a few steps further and took a Brtitish Airways Tristar!!) Met future (and still present Mrs Eoa) but didn't actually get married until after my 25th b'day.

I got a daggers stare from Sacha Distel whilst he was checking in at The Meridian Hotel Abu Dhabi at about 0200 (presumably just arrived after a flight from Paris). We were just rolling out of a pub and I shouted out across the foyer "Hey Slasher ... and started singing Rain Drops keep fallin on my head" He didn't seem too amused ... neither was my Mrs who gave me a jab in the ribs to shut me up

Hopefully by the time you come down to SMS we will have progressed like we had last season and will be able to give you a lesson in footballing skills and whoop your arses again. We would like to think we will be up there or there abouts, but until our players realise we don't have a divine right to be there, we have to earn it, it may not be a place in the top 2, but scrambling around for a play off place.

Not this season so far ... played 6 and this was only their 3rd win. Even Tranny got a draw there, Yeovil got 2 up a better team would have held on, and Brizzle rvrs won there. Not much better thanus so far!!

But these are the teams we need to take points against more so than say Tramnere last week. Had we lost last week and won this week we'd be a point above Huddersfield. How times have changed when a few years ago a win against Man Utd wasn't point wise, as valuable, say as a win against Coventry or whoever else were the perenial strugglers! .

Pretty much like last season. Outclassed, out fought. Too much pretty football, no threat up front, non existant midfield, defence couldn't cope with their physical presence, too much emphasis on passing the ball out from the back which put us under pressure everytime as it was so predictable. we have to learn to mix it up a bit. Hudds taters were amazed at how poor we were and at our our poor body language when things weren't going our way!!

From what I can tell not one single redeeming thing to be gleaned from this match. P!ss poor all round. Has Lalana touched the ball in the 2nd half? Fonte not handled the pressure from the physical side of it ... maybe a game for Jaidi today?

Hope the Hudds tater has just jinxed them ....Saints have been sent packing, although there are 8 mins left!!
