  1. Plus with jack stephens new contract, its like a whole new signing
  2. He’ll have this league on rice.
  3. Thought Thomas Frank was meant to be their saviour again
  4. Is that meant to be a bad thing? A scouting team at this level needs to unearth gems. It gets a bit boring seeing the same names being banded about.
  5. West Ham fan page states player wants to join West Ham
  6. Hump day. Waiting with bated breath for info on Rudoni and Spertsyan
  7. I think DD will come good, and in not too much time. He’s getting into the right positions just needs to steel his nerves.
  8. People have them pegged as champions but they haven't exactly set things alight from the jump. I reckon we can do them.
  9. Bazunu and Stephens:
  10. how many rounds left until the inevitable liverpool draw? 2?
  11. move this thread to golden posts NOW! will never forget the true hampton derby
  12. skates losing though #silverlinings
  13. Rudoni is a smokescreen I think
  14. Interesting that Spertsyan actually has a fair bit of loyalty/connection to his club and hasn’t just jumped ship at the first opportunity I know we would be different as he hasn’t grown up with us, but if it works out may actually get to keep him for more than a year?
  15. Agreed, the ground came alive with the equaliser and the winner was glorious, crowd exploded felt good to silence the wrexham fans
  16. I think it’s time for Dibling to spread his wings and head out into the big wide world as well and for us to pocket 50m. But who will pay it?
  17. Manning robbed
  18. Criminal for Leicester to not win this surely. Wednesday don’t even have a proper starting 11 well, good for us
  19. Even Rusty managed to do that, it’s a low bar.
  20. I think working with Grealish would be a valuable learning experience for Dibling, if both end up signing.
  21. Preferably a RB who is decent defensively (as well as offensively, of course) - our wing backs feel a bit volatile at the moment. Hoping Spertsyan goes through but also that we move quickly for an alternative if he drags things out too much longer. The closing weeks will be an acid test for Spors - will he be able to avoid the typical SR mistake of scrambling after our main target doesn't work out?
  22. The two of them are riding a high wave due to very strong League One seasons, but I think the reality check will hit come September...
  23. Okay, he's not absolutely woeful in all aspects - what he is good at is off-field management. Installing a feeling of camaraderie, uplifting players who have lost their confidence, protecting players from criticism (whether that be deserved or not). He is limited tactically, and he probably knows that, so doubles down on his brand and charisma to protect himself. The trouble is that even his strong points became negatives last season as he refused to adapt. We finished on 12 points, and a great deal of that was due to the softened atmosphere and low standards around Staplewood, which he installed, meaning even though he left in December he was haunting us right up until the end. Keep in mind that the 2020s have on paper gotten linearly worse for us each season as well. I don't think it's reasonable to blame people for still having a hangover about debatably our worst season in history (given the context).

    Fitness

With all the modern obsession of systems and styles of play it’s easy to forget that players are athletes who spend 90+ minutes dashing across the pitch. I think our fitness will give us the edge this season and many many late goals.
  25. Jesus. Talk about bad judgement
