Yeah, it has been some time since we actually put up a fight against Liverpool tbf …
  5. Didn’t watch him last night but I’ve thought for a while he’s one of our better CBs. He came here with little fanfare, in fact the news of his arrival was upstaged by Edwards, but he gets stuck in and shows a bit of grit, which we need.
  6. Didn’t watch the game, and don’t want to scroll through the thread. How was it?
  7. Another one of the lads SR persist with in their refusal to admit their mistakes.
  8. Wouldn't surprise me. But if we can't get out of the Championship the club is worth much, much less than they paid for it. They deserve to take a loss on the sale but will they?
  9. Needs to be fined £1000 for each unattempted header
  10. Not singling you out here but I've seen a number of people say many variants of this. Football is the one thing the players excel at (relative to the general population). They are coming off of a year where they were told every week, they are shit and don't deserve to be at the level many of them have dreamed of being at for their entire careers. For some of them, it will probably be their last time ever being at that level and they know it. It's easy to dismiss the psychological factor but you have never been in that environment.
  11. Just drop him for the rest of the season. Another relic that needs to be forgotten.
  12. It's not going to be a dramatic drubbing, it will just be crap. 3-0 Liverpool. Who can be bothered?
  13. They were utter crap early last season but got away with it again. They remind me of Everton a few years ago, never seem to flush. That being said, the promoted three are actually holding their own collectively this year. All that hot air about the divisional gap getting too wide just seems like a cope now.
  14. That's definitely part of it. The Stephens extension further suggested to me it's SR sustaining this easy-going quiet lads culture around the club. Guess they're just adopting the mild-manners prawn sandwich attitude of our fans
  15. One thing that is getting exhausting is the constant stress about league position. Whether we're in the Championship or the Premier League we have been obsessing about getting promoted at the first attempt or not getting relegated, year on year, for about four years now. I just want to sit back and enjoy a season of football without having to worry. We were in a prime position for someone competent to come in and sustain our PL status, yet we get turned into a toy for Rasmus and Solak's money experiments. Sick of it all
  16. Just think the scrambling around for the manager who will save us is starting to feel a bit Groundhog Day to be honest. There are much deeper problems than the manager, we have consistently declined across five or six of them with wildly different styles and backgrounds. Still may well be out of his depth but what happens when we get Carrick, we get Rohl, we get Potter and we're still mid-table at Christmas? Players come to us having looked good and suddenly they look shit. There's something in the air, in the culture of the club. It's a culture of losing, being scared, not knowing what to do. People at the club in recent years, both playing and non-playing staff, have seen no end to the embarrassment that has forged this culture since the turn of the decade and continues to infest us. I don't know if that gets fixed easily in the short-term.

I like his character but we can't go on like this. Though, the problems really start at the top IMO.
  19. What will it take for them to sell up?
  20. Since SR came in a complacent malaise has blanketed the club. We do worse every season and it's time for them to go.
  21. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!
  22. Allardyce
  23. Rooney is available.
  24. Software engineers from Barclays, apparently.
  25. We are two points above Sheffield Wednesday. Let that sink in.
