How many clubs have training facilities that can be viewed by the public? Can't be many. We've probably done it a few times and utterly stupid to have done it and be caught like this, but keep some perspective, we can't have been doing it every week.

Whilst this is an an absolute embarrassment and absolutely amateur from the club from start to finish, lets not lose sight that this punishment is vastly disproportionate. Yes what we did was wrong and we've been a completely mess here, but no way is this punishment fair or right. Lets keep some perspective here.

Agreed, utterly, absolutely insane, completely disproportionate punishment, one of the harshest ever in football. Absolute trial by media, like the world has lost their heads. Yes, what we did was wrong, but no way remotely proportionate to this. Also how incredibly amateur from us doing this so sloppily, then letting Boro completely run the media operation on this to set the tone with no bite back from us.

Beat me to it by a couple of seconds. They've played this brilliantly. Its not even an offence in most other leagues around the world. Utter, utter madness.

The Middlesbrough media department have done an incredible job on this, to the point where a multi-million £ fine and points deduction is seen as a good result. Utterly, completely insane.

That’s what they should do in a sensible world, just not worth the hassle for them and most football competitions have survived quite happily without it. But laws are very rarely reversed.

And if they had caught us spying previously why have they not complained to the efl about it at the time?

Surely that is relevant, as we’re not contesting we broke the efl law, but we are going to load up with every possible mitigation under the sun?

Why do we need to release our ticket sales plan same time as Hull? Never been a thing before. Obviously been told to hold off selling for now.

Within the efl’s rules, could they have deducted points from Leeds if they’d wanted to?

Love to be hated and show a mean streak for once. The club has always been far too nice.

How and why were they fined if they weren’t found guilty of anything?

Can anyone tell me why the punishment given to Leeds isn't a precedent? They were found guilty having done the same thing we have, so why is the punishment not the precedent to follow for us? Bringing in a new law doesn't change that in my opinion, as the offence was already punishable when Leeds were caught.

Reading the Boro forum, there is a long thread with them all anti-Reform.

From their forum thread on welcoming the coaches 🤣 “I was in Southampton visiting extended family. When this started, a couple of them leaned over to me and said '**** me, I wish we had support like that, today is gonna be hard'. Never have I beamed so much for my peeps in a small town in Europe.” Definitely filed in that big folder of things that never happened.

I’d argue it’s luck not judgement that’s got us this far. We’re not playing a clever cagey game deliberately letting them have the ball. We’ve had very little say in this so far.

What is the actual offence here? Trespass onto their land? If the training is viewable from public land, what is the issue?
