  1. You’d think clubs might be put off employing these whistleblowers in the future, can’t help their careers.
  2. Plenty of Boro tears, beautiful to see. They were far the better team which makes it even better. Hackney to be sold.
  3. I'm no lawyer, but I can't see a legal argument there whatsoever. If we hadn't been negligent we would have played a game that would have given us a chance of promotion. I can't see that carrying much weight.
  4. Very creepy that this seems comparable to him doesn't it.
  5. Very interesting that rape and asking someone to watch some footballers training are comparable on your moral compass. Says a lot about your world view.
  6. I'm sure the players are angry and I doubt Tonda will be our manager next season, but one of the main reasons they were even in with a shout of the Premier League was Tonda's impact. These same players had stunk the place out for a third of the season under the previous manager. And if we'd simply lost to Hull or Middlesbrough our best players would have been looking for a move away, such is the nature of football.
  7. He was brought in for the appeal (too late, the damage had been done), this is from the first hearing I think.
  8. Exactly. Unusually emotive language for such a report and our media whipping it up further.
  9. Nothing particularly new there, an absolute amateur shambles from us from start to finish.
  10. Completely agree. Unfortunately one way or another he’ll be gone, the pitch forks are out and there won’t be many left standing at the end of this.
  11. One way or another I'm sure he'll be fired and/or banned, but worth remembering we wouldn't even be in a position to be close to a £200m game if it hadn't been for Tonda's impact. Still, Rusk, Juric, to an extent Martin, couldn't get a tune out of these players.
  12. Agreed, good post. And one tiny bit of luck for us, play-offs dropping down to 8th next season, I'm confident we'll be involved in those and even gives us a chance if we have a slow start after a summer of upheavel.
  13. Angry unhappy man being unhappy and angry I see.
  14. Completely agree, spot on. Unfortunately the way of the world these days he’ll be either sacked or banned. Disappointing knee-jerk reaction from so many of our fans though.
  15. If we'd just got a fine from the efl and were playing at Wembley in a couple of days time would you still be calling for him to be sacked?
  16. Massive overration from the EFL, the media, and the Karens of this forum. Absolute shambles from Saints, but hopefully with a bit of time and when the dust settles everyone will calm down and gain a bit of perspective. Yes, there will be sackings and we'll lose some key players, but we will still be one of the biggest clubs in the Championship next season and will have a set-up and infrastructure far better than most. If Middlesbrough had nicked a win against us last week or we'd sneaked into the play off final with a heavy fine, whilst still being clearly guilty of "spying", all these conversations and emotional outbursts wouldn't be on the agenda. We fucked up, got caught, got a very heavy punishment and we're angry with the club for getting caught and are blaming them for the severity of the punishment. Come August 99% of us will be back in St Marys cheering the side on like we've always done.
  17. I think once the dust settles down we'll end up retaining more of our players than many expect. We'll still have good quality Championship level players like Fellowes, Matsuki, Manning would be my guess and we'll get good money for those that leave. Biggest shame will be Peretz and Larin not joining us, particularly Peretz for me who made an incredible difference.
  18. Yeah, why would anyone from Saints leak such a bit of information?
  19. What would be in it for any other whistleblower? We were a unique situation with the timing of our game and their relationship with Middlesbrough. I’m sure there’s tons of dodgy grey area stuff going on in the background across football, but you need a lot of things to come together at one time for it to spill out in the open like it has for us.
  20. Agreed, as much chaos as possible please. Got to see the funny side of this now.
  21. Regular drinker in the Kingsland Tavern 🤞
  22. You just appear to be another one of the over emotional Karens on this forum. Sports Republic have been consistently shit for us as I stated above, but if we’d just been hit with a heavy fine and were playing at Wembley in a couple of days your reaction would be completely different.
  23. I agree actually, feel really sorry for him the way both Saints and Middlesbrough have treated him, got to think of his mental health and well being. Only slight point of disagreement is I don't think his career would be over, junior enough and working back of house, he should be able to find another role once this has all calmed down.
  24. I'll probably be in a minority of one here, but I actually feel sorry for him. A very talented coach who has fucked up and made a stupid mistake that will ruin his career and follow him around for the rest of his life.
  25. Yes, I know 🤣
